Do You Need to Get Away? (CONTEST!)

heartfeltBecause it’s February (the month of love – and you know we love you!) and in honor of our first Colorado Loopy Ewe Spring Fling coming up, we thought it would be fun to give away a spot at our Spring Fling for a contest this month. Not only that, but if you win, you get to pick a friend to bring along with you. We saved a spot for them, too! You cover the cost of getting yourself to the hotel (by plane, train or automobile), and we’ll provide you both with the Fling weekend package for free. (Pop on over to this blog post to see what is included in the Fling weekend package.) If you have already signed up for a spot at the Fling, you’re still eligible to enter the contest and get your Fling package for free for you and a friend. We don’t want to leave you out. The Spring Fling dates are April 18-21, Thursday evening through Sunday morning.

So do you need a weekend away with your best buddy? Would you like to hang out with a bunch of great knitters, visit Loopy Central, take a class, get a goodie bag and relax all weekend? If you want to be entered to win, leave a comment below and tell us you’d like to attend and who you want to bring along with you. We’ll use the random number generator to pick someone next week and will report back with a winner. It’s going to be a great weekend!

  1. Wow. I would love to come to see you and share the experience with a friend. And I know just the friend I would bring! Thank you for the opportunity!

  2. I am in Fling, but I woul LOVE to win this! I am scraping pennies together to come due to medical bills. I would bring my friend Veronica for a much needed girls getaway 🙂

  3. I’m sure there’s no chance of me winning such a great prize/gift, but I’m gonna put my name in, anyway. I’d take my amazing sis, who is just starting to get her feet wet in the fibery world. She’d be blown away by Loopy and all the wonderfulness that will ensue at the Spring Fling!

  4. If I won, that just means more money for yarn! Yippee! I would either bring my mother in law, or a friend I have met through ravelry. Would be a great way to meet them face to face.

  5. I would LOVE to come to Spring Fling! I’ve never been to an event like this and I’m dying to go! I would bring my friend Patty whom I haven’t seen since she moved to Oregon. She’s a great friend, a great knitter and needs just such a lift to bring her up out of the doldrums of months of rain (among other things!).

  6. What a generous contest! I would so love to get to meet some of the Loopy Ewe folks I’ve been meeting ‘virtually’…..and I’ve always wanted to see Colorado. Thanks so much for the chance!

  7. It sounds so very great and I’ve heard such wonderful things about the Spring fling and I lived in Denver for 2.5 years. I would jump at the chance to go. I would take my friend Lisa that I met at SSK last year. Thanks so much.

  8. This offer is too wonderful to pass up! I would bring my niece, Lucia,
with me as she’s a fabulous knitter and one of the Spring Fling days
    is her birthday! Thank you!

  9. Oooh, I could use a little vacay! My hubby is deployed again this year, which is the PERFECT time to attend a knitting event! I would bring my daughter. Hoping, hoping, hoping… 😉

  10. I’m always ready for a knitting adventure! I’d invite my travelling companion for all my knitting travels, MaryAnn. We meet as potluck roomates on a knitting trip 6 years ago & have been doing a knit-themed outing every year since.

  11. Oh, what an antidote to dealing with building inspectors, bad weather, and living in a tiny trailer! I’d bring my best of friends, that taught me to knit, Deb.

  12. I have never been to Colorado and would love to see it. I knit and spin and The Loopy Ewe is my go to place to buy what I need. I would bring my surrogate mom, Joann, with me. She is a wonderful person and would be fun to bring. Thank you for this contest.

  13. Getting away would be lovely, and I would have to choose one of my knitting group buddies to join me. Probably the woman who has one more child than I do (Five!) and could use some serious grown up time. Thanks for the contest chance!

  14. I would love to attend this event, with my knitting friend Emily. As well as blitzing a weekend of knitting, we would get an opportunity to get away from the COLD.

  15. My first choice would be my friend Natasha, and if she couldn’t come I’d bring Eileen, or one of the friends in my lovely knitting group.

  16. I need a trip away so bad it hurts!!! I would have a lot of people mad if I didn’t choose them but I would probably ask my KBFF Maureen to go with me, or my other friend Joe who is a GREAT knitter.

  17. What a generous give away! I would love to attend. If she could swing the time off, I’d bring my a good friend who also knits.

  18. I would love to experience Spring Fling. I would bring my mom. She is my best knitting buddy and she is learning to spin too!

  19. I would like to go because I have never been to a knitting workshop and they look like so much fun! I would bring someone from my prayer shawl group!

  20. Wow!! I would love to win this! I have only been knitting for a few years and love it I would probably invite my daughter first. If she didn’t come I would ask my friend Erin who got me hooked on knitting. How fun!!

  21. I’d love to go to Spring Fling ’13! I’d love to take my mom. She knits with me, but never ever treats herself to any knitting festivals, yarn crawls, or shows. I’d love to let her live the life!!

  22. Oh my gosh – a spring getaway – knitting, wine, lots of other knitters, good food – need I go on!!!! and of course, shopping. I would take my daughter as we both love knitting and have a good time together. It would be wonderful.

  23. I’ve never had a knitting weekend. Such a luxury! I’d bring someone from my knitting group or one of my new friends from my son’s school who knits. What a great way to really get to spend some time with a new friend!

  24. I would love to go to Spring Fling ’13. I have never been to any sort of knitting activity, other than a few times at my old church to the prayer shawl group. I think it would be awesome to be with other people who have a passion for the same thing as I do! However, I don’t have any knitting buddies (I’m kind of a knitting loner). If selected, I would bring a “new friend”- her name is Elizabeth and I have recently gotten to know a bit about her through the new bible study I am attending (she needs this event more than I do as she has recently been diagnosed with clinical depression and an anxiety disorder) and she ALWAYS has her knitting with her! (I knit at home, mostly, but she carries hers everywhere!)

  25. I’d love to come, but I don’t really have knitting buddies to bring (this would be my opportunity to make some, maybe?). I’d probably offer the 2nd spot back to Loopy to give away, or offer it up on the Groupies forum.

  26. I’m dreaming of clouds of yarn (rather than the snow clouds that are here in Utah)!
I would bring my friend Cheech (Sharlene) along with me. Otherwise, she may never talk to me again if I brought someone else.

  27. What a free get away? That is awesome. I so could use a get away doing the thing I love with one of my besties. (I know reality though. I never win anything). Good luck to you all.

  28. I would love to go to Spring Fling 2013! I’ve never been able to attend and it is definitely one of the items on my bucket list. If I won, I would definitely bring my mom. I got my love of fiber arts from her and she was the one that taught me to knit and crochet.

  29. How exciting! I would be thrilled to just be offered a spot, but a prize package – how wonderful. I would bring my sister or my BFF

  30. I would like to go to Spring Fling as I have always wanted to see Colorado. I would bring my friend Carol as she is on a limited income so cannot get to travel much. She still can afford to buy the odd ballof yarn, though, lol.

  31. This would be amazing to win. Erin (my best friend of 20 years) and I have had to face some of the toughest things this past year (illness, death in family, etc). Thank god we have each other!! Thanks for offering this, Loopy Ewe — you guys are great!

  32. This would be a phenomenal opportunity to visit Loopy Ewe and the Ft. Collins area. I’d bring my best friend, Peg, who visited Ft. Collins with me for the first time last fall. We fell in love with the area and both would truly enjoy seeing you again and having the opportunity to attend your very first Spring Fling. Thanks so much for the chance to participate.
