Happy Valentine’s Day to you all! I hope you’re feeling loved by all of the special people in your life today. My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is that it’s Knitting Daughter’s Birthday. 🙂 And here’s one of my favorite photos of her when she was about three. Now she’s all grown up and enjoying life at college. I don’t know where the time went between then and now. I’m pretty sure that it was just a few weeks ago that she was sitting on the kitchen counter and I snapped this photo. WH and I zipped over to Indiana to surprise her over the weekend. Not for the whole weekend. You can’t surprise a college student for the entire weekend and expect that they don’t already have plans!  So we went late Saturday night and claimed Sunday morning (church) and Sunday lunch with her. It was a lot of fun and makes it a smidgeon easier to be this far away from her on her actual birthday, today. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JULIA!!)
So that’s my favorite thing about today. What’s your favorite thing about today? Leave your message in the comments below and we’ll run the random number generator on Friday, to see who wins some beautiful red yarn. See all of those skeins in the photo? We’re pulling prizes from there. We made that to put up on the webcam for you today, hoping you feel the Loopy love!

My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is that it means February is half over!! No really, I like seeing everyone in red, makes for a happy day!
My favorite thing about Valentine’s day is the number of people in red. To me, red is the happiest color.
My favorite thing about valentines day is the availability of sour cherry balls. Best sweet ever!
My dear husband picked up sushi take-out. Mmmmmmmm.
Valentines day was my parents wedding anniversary so especially sweet to me.
I am very traditional and love flowers and candy. I received flowers at work from my wonderful son and flowers and a box of candy from my special valentine. Wow, I never thought I’d still be loving valentine’s day at 60!
giving the ones I love valentine gifts…
My favourite thing about yesterday was the fact that we didn’t have to do anything special. Every day we do romantic things for each other, and Valentine’s Day isn’t an exception.
My favorite thing about Valentine’s–it’s my youngest son’s Birthday–he’s 36!!
Every year I complain about Valentine’s Day being a gimick but every year I give my husband a Valentine anyway. This year was no exception he even had time to scramble to get me one after all my complaining and than I leave him one on his computer desk. Love to tease!
I like the old traditional Valentines. The ones with corny sayings on them and drawings of children whose heads are way too big. They always seem to be full of affection instead of sex or innuendo.
I love sharing Valentine’s Day with my husband of 43 years. We open cards in the morning before breakfast and he always suprises me with something special and I usually buy chocolate for him and we share…..
My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is getting all the super sweet cards made by my students (helps with the lack of cards coming from my husband…lol). They really love me!!
My favorite thing is that 25 years ago yesterday, the daughter of a dear friend was born.
Spending time with my partner and best friend, and, of course, eating the chocolate he usually gives me!
My favorite thing is that my husband and I met at a Valentine’s Day party back in college when were were both sick of the opposite sex. I was having a girls night out and he was doing a guys night. We clicked and have been together ever since.
My favorite thing about Valentine’s day is that everyone is in a good mood, well almost everyone. My college daughter calls it singles awareness day.
My favorite thing about today* is pretending it’s not anything special, but loving it when my husband and son wish me a happy Valentine’s Day. * I had to wait until 2/15 to post; we had a wicked storm (Washington) and lost power!
Valentines day is my hubby’s birthday, I love my cupid guy.
My hubby and I met 30 years ago on Valentines day. That makes this Valentines Day and really every Valentines Day extra special.
My favorite thing is to let my honey know that I will always keep him special (after 24 hears) and I always make something for him….either knit or sewn or cooked. What I always treasure from him are the him-made cards he gives me…always creative.
Sher Sher…I ran/drove to my daughter, too!!! she had to work night shift, but I gave her soup and chocolates and other specials Valentiney things.
We love our daughters, don’t we!!!!!!!
This year, my favorite thing about Valentine’s Day was my children’s excitement. So cute.
Love those reds! Love my sweetie, love TLE!
My favorite this about Valentine’s Day are those little unexpected surprises. It’s nice to feel extra special every once in awhile 🙂
Am I too late? I really love Valentine’s Day! It is my BIL’s birthday and I really enjoy just filling my heart with random feelings of love for the whole day! And I love love love TLE!
I love Valentine’s day because…… I love fresh flowers.
I love the yarn heart! Very cute. I have good memories of Valentine’s day from when I was a kid. When we would come down in the morning, my mom would have some little treats waiting for us at the breakfast table – a little candy, a small present and a card. Money was tight for my parents and it was such a special treat for us. I have continued the tradition with my own children only now they are pretty much grown up.
I like all the love in the air and the cute decorations
My daughter decided on her own that Cupid left her a trail of Hershey’s kisses….and was disappointed when I told her I had done it!
My favorite thing about yesterday was a gift from my husband. He said, “I’m sorry I didn’t send you flowers, but I got you this…..” and with that he handed me a set of Signature Needle Arts size 5, 32″ circulars. Wow! Way better than flowers! Stash diving time for me……
My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is Sweet Tart hearts. And not feeling the pressure to find the perfect card or gift. We’ve kind of moved past that.
I love a day devoted to love!
I love the little surprises. My son srote “I love you” on a sticky note inside a Loopy sticky note holder I got in the yarn club. He never said a word and waited for me to find it. It doesn’t get much better than that. (He is 15, a free style skier, a bmx rider and not at all the gushy type.)
Memories of Grandma and her special little treats.
My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is the card I got from my husband 🙂
Two favorite things about Valentine’s Day…. Having a wonderful husband to spend it with. Making a dinner where everything is pink or red(fun with red food coloring!) We had ham, red mashed potatoes, fresh red peppers and everyone’s drinks (water and milk) were pink. It looks kind of odd, but the kids love it! Happy Valentine’s Day to you!
My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is that as soon as it’s over, it’s Cadbury Egg season! 😉 just kidding.. my fiance and I aren’t big on Valentine’s Day, but it’s usually one of the few days a year I get flowers. 😀 This year’s rose? fire (orange)-tipped yellow roses. LOVE! 😀
Love red wool!!
Chocolate and cinnamon hearts
My favorite things about Valentines day are the chocolate & the flowers.
All of the fun things my sons and I did to get ready for preschool Valentine’s Day parties. Heart shaped, crayons, allergen free sugar cookies, and home made valentines for classmates. We had a fun time with it last week.
I have never really embraced holidays. Any of them. But my boys get so excited and it is fun to experience it through them.
First of all, Happy Belated Birthday to Knitting Daughter! My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is that it reminds me of my Great Aunt Viola, whose birthday was very close so she always celebrated it on Valentine’s Day. She was a terrific lady and always a joy to be with. Hope everyone had a good Valentine’s Day!
my favorite thing? all the love.
My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is catching my husband scrawl a note and his name in my card. It never ceases to amaze me that he can wait until i am actually coming in the door from work to write in the darn card. It is the thought that counts. 🙂 I love him so.
My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is the hugs and I love you’s from friends–no romance, just love!
My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is watching my two little boys get excited about Valentine’s Day!
My Grandma. Her birthday was on Valentine’s day. She’s been gone for almost 20 years, but I always remember her birthday because of the holidays.
My favorite part of the day is being home with my boyfriend sitting in front of the fire roasting marshmallows!
Valentine’s Day is a fun, colorful day full of flowers and, the best part, chocolate. 🙂
Flowers, and candy, and hugs and kisses. What more could one want?
