Happy Valentine’s Day to you all! I hope you’re feeling loved by all of the special people in your life today. My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is that it’s Knitting Daughter’s Birthday. 🙂 And here’s one of my favorite photos of her when she was about three. Now she’s all grown up and enjoying life at college. I don’t know where the time went between then and now. I’m pretty sure that it was just a few weeks ago that she was sitting on the kitchen counter and I snapped this photo. WH and I zipped over to Indiana to surprise her over the weekend. Not for the whole weekend. You can’t surprise a college student for the entire weekend and expect that they don’t already have plans!  So we went late Saturday night and claimed Sunday morning (church) and Sunday lunch with her. It was a lot of fun and makes it a smidgeon easier to be this far away from her on her actual birthday, today. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JULIA!!)

I love my husband of 39 years.
I love that my boys both claimed they didn’t “celebrate” it, but they both came home from school and spent the afternoon looking at all the valentines they received. then had to show me all of them. then show them to their dad.
Most everybody seems a little bit happier. And chocolate of course.

The romance from my husband. We rarely celebrated when we were first married…he didn’t believe in this holiday, but now after 33 years together he appreciates what marriage and this holiday mean.

I enjoyed some quiet time with DH over the weekend; he works out of state & couldn’t be home for Valentine’s Day proper, so we made the most of the time we had. So that would be my favorite thing – time together!

I love Valentine’s Day; it is time for young lovers, but don’t forget the older ones too! My husband died several years ago but I remember how he always brought me red roses each Valentine’s Day; I have a lot of wonderful memories!

My favorite thing was surprising my then-boyfriend (now husband) 17 years ago by conspiring with a couple of his friends to fly back to where he was living and be in his dorm room when he got back from class. He couldn’t talk to me for a few days, he was so shocked! =)
This year, it was when 5yo, who calls meatloaf “meat love” asked me if I could make “meat love” for Valentines Day since it has the word love in it. How could I refuse! So, I made heart shaped mini meatloaves for dinner. Hubby and I had a romantic date the weekend before so our Valentines Day was for the kiddos!
I love today because of all the things represents. Love CHOCOLATE, fun things with people you love, CHOCOLATE,…and CHOCOLATE.

My favorite thing on Valentine’s Day is the fact that it is for letting people know how much you love them. Of course you love them all year round, but it is not always expressed like it is on Valentine’s Day.
I got to work across the hallway from the Floral Dept.. I loved seeing all of the beautiful arrangements going out the door to loved ones. The smell wasn’t bad either. And later in the day…I had time to knit! Gotta love that.
Just the fact that we stop and share the love between us. It takes me back to my childhood and I love wishing friends and strangers a Happy Valentines Day!

My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day was watching my son write out his name on his Spiderman Valentines for his first Valentine’s Day party at school. Plus I love surprising my husband. I usually remember Valentine’s Day and my husband usually remembers our anniversary.
for me, just having another year with the holiday with my hubby, this one makes number 19! This year of course just before dinner we had a huge storm come through knocking out the power, internet and phones for close to 10 hours. So needless to say i am happy i had cooked early and we kicked back for the evening with candles and the generator watching movies. Forced romance! lol
My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is how happy everybody is. And yes, we love each other all year long, but there is nothing in the world wrong with taking time on a special day to make certain you gaze into each other’s eyes and tell them you love them.
My favorite part of Valentine’s Day this year was when I woke up to find that my husband had not only set out flowers for me, but also for my sister who was visiting for the weekend. She had agreed to watch the kids for him so he could take me to lunch while she was here, so he figured she needed some Valentine’s flowers as well. I was so thrilled that he remembered her too!

Wow, there are a lot of comments! My favorite thing about V-day this year was watching my nurse’s face light up when she got an arrangement of flowers delivered to her office. Amazing! I love seeing other people happy…
DH *never* does this, but he came back home after taking #1 son to the bus. No money for flowers or dinner, but we had an hour of quiet until he *had* to go to work. 🙂

My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day this year was my hubby surprising my dh (5yo) and me with flowers. He had to work a 10 shift and still found time to treat to us.
It’s my son’s birthday too! I tell my husband there’s nothing better he could have given me than the birth of our son on Valentine’s Day.
My favorite thing about Valentine’s day is giving little presents to my loved ones without the stress of the expetations that come with Christmas/holiday gift giving. That, and the fact that my husband and I usually cook a special meal together.
My favorite about Valentine’s Day is having Mr. Wonderful as my DH. This our year of health and I’m happy that he is taking care of himself by doctor appointments that he has been putting off. Also we joined a gym and are working out together. I don’t need any other gifts to know he loves me.

My favorite thing to do on Valentine’s Day is to cook a special dinner at home for DH and me. No need to go out and get frustrated with crowds. We can have a romantic dinner at home with no driving! This year Valentine’s also landed on the same day as my weekly knitting group…….they are a special group of ladies.
