I love this new Mara Shawl. In fact, I’m such a fan that I have wound up another color of Madelinetosh DK/ Light Worsted (Thunderstorm) to make another one. You know, in between all of my other knitting that 
I want to get done. My favorite part of this shawl is the pleated edge (which I did as a K3, P2 instead of what the directions say. Because I can’t leave well enough alone. But I do like it like this.) The color is Cedar and will be perfect for the holidays. That’s another thing I have decided – shawls of varying colors are needed for different seasons.
Here’s Susan modeling her very first shawl! She did the Multnomah and it turned out beautifully. (Please note, Susan has been a scarf and hat knitter up until this point. I have yet to get her to do socks. So this shawl was a first step towards other things!) 
She did try to tell me “not for the blog” when I took her photo but I just laughed. (And watch – someone will leave a comment saying, “Sheri, I didn’t know you had colored your hair black and were wearing it short.” All of you blog-picture-scanners crack me up. This is Cute Elf Susan. —->)
We will be taking Thursday and Friday off this week for Thanksgiving (that means no in-person shopping hours this week), but of course the shop is open online, 24/7 as always. Tomorrow we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving here in the U.S. When I make my list of things I’m thankful for, all of your names appear there. We love partnering with you on great yarn, fun patterns, and much encouragement, inspiration, and support. You all keep us on our toes and there’s no place we’d rather be. So consider this a big HUG and thank you to each one of you from each one of us here at Loopy Central. We think you’re just the best, and we wish we could sit down with you in person tomorrow afternoon for some pumpkin pie and knitting!

My faith, my family and my friends are most important to me. I am so thankful for everything God has blessed me with. I’m thankful for so much, my family, our health and happiness. We have a great time in our house, we laugh, joke around, and generally enjoy spending time with one another. That being said, I’m thankful for the ability to knit, physically, and economically. I love to create something out of nothing. I’m thankful for a wonderful husband who can’t really understand why I have to have another 7 skeins but doesn’t care if I get it anyway. I have a lot to be thankful for.

I have had a REALLY crappy 2009, but it has made me thankful for the things in my life that have been there for me during this rough patch. I am lucky to have wonderful loyal friends who love me, and even luckier to have a great husband.

I’m thankful for my husband and 4 children. My friends and my family. I’m thankful that while on the surface we may not appear to have much, that we have a home to keep us warm. I’m thankful that we never have to go to bed hungry or alone.
Besides the obvious things in my life (fam, friends & good health), I’m thankful for all the yummy yarn!
I’m thankful that my husband is home safe from Iraq and that we’ll get to spend this Christmas together.

We recently moved states to be closer to my family, and I am thankful that I now get to see my sister more often. Although my husband is out of a job, I am thankful that I still have a good job and can provide for our family. I am thankful that I still have time to knit and money to buy yarn.

What I’m most thankful for this year is 3 new grandbabies. But most of all for my new grandson Jack. Jack was born 3 months to early. With only 1/4 of his little lungs devolped at the time, we did not know if he would survive. But he is a fighter & is now home with us for what we hope is many more Thanksgivings.
I’m thankful for family of course and the fact that I can afford groceries and have a home to live in right now through tough times. I’m also thankful for my various crafting passions – they keep me busy and happy.
I’m thankful for a decent stash in times of financial crises. It allows me to save up to buy yarn down the road and allows me to knit, knit, knit to keep my mind busy.

I’m so genuinely thankful for the health of my family. Without that, nothing else really matters. I’m also thankful for the fact that after a tough year, my husband’s business is picking up!

I’m thankful that most of my family in the States were able to be together for Thanksgiving (even if I couldn’t join them)! I’m thankful that our restaurant is still up and running in spite of the economic crisis over here. And I’m thankful to have Sheri and the Elves to supply me with gorgeous yarn (although I’m not sure my husband would agree)!
I almost burned down my house with the dog and cat inside – the night before THanksgiving. I’m thankful for all that was NOT lost and for our health, family and friends!!!!
Sheri, this year I’m thankful for having found employment, even if its temporary. I am most thankful that 2009 is almost over … it’s been a rough one.

I’m thankful for my boyfriend, and his family. They’ve pretty much adopted me in a time of emotional need. I’m thankful that I still have a job, that I’m able to go to the college of my dreams, even when it’s rough. I’m equally thankful for having knitting, and the joy that it brings me.

I’m also thankful for Clifford L. Coffin. He was a fashion photographer in the 40s and 50s, and often worked for Vogue. When he passed away a number of years ago, he left a tidy sum to our local library to buy fine arts instructional books. Because of his kindness, we have access to many fabulous knitting books. Thank you Mr. Coffin!
I am thankful for my family, both my extended family and the cousins I’m getting to know who have taken me in and helped me so generously the last few months.
I’m thankful that I had a wonderful thanksgiving, surrounded by my family yesterday.
I am thankful for family near and far, for a little break from school to get ready for end of term, and that my kids are old enough to peel potatoes and clean beans, so I’m not alone making Thanskgiving. 🙂
I’m thankful for my supportive husband, my loving daughter, and a job that keeps me on my toes every single day.
I’m grateful to spend the holidays with my family. And now that it’s the day after, I’m grateful for a relaxing weekend, leftovers and my knitting to keep me company.
