Prayers and Good Wishes

dsc01318Many of you have called in and talked with Susan here at Loopy Central (or traded emails with her). She was the first official Loopy Elf and we had been friends for years before that. Now she’s our Office Manager and she’s the one that I describe by saying, “I couldn’t do this business without her, and I wouldn’t want to.” She and the other elves keep the orders moving out quickly and efficiently. She will be going in for Breast Cancer surgery tomorrow and I knew that all of you would want to know. I asked her if I could share this on the blog and she said, “Well, the more prayers the better, right?” We’re all hoping for a quick recovery for her and the best news possible on all accounts.  I will keep you posted.  She has a great outlook and she’s not a worrier. (I told her I’d worry enough for both of us.) Thank you for being the kind, caring group that I know you are. I know you’ll keep her prayed up and loved through this, and so will all of us here at Loopy.

  1. Best wishes Susan for a speedy recovery. My Mom was diagnosed at 35 years and I’m happy to say she turned 60 this past September with no additional issues. She’s happy and healthy, and you will be too. Sounds like you have the right attitude! My thoughts will be with you!

  2. Wishing good thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. Sheri, you will both be fine. With all the LG in your corner how could the outcome be anything but ok?

  3. Strength, power, humility, humor, and every prayer possible are headed your way, Susan, as you recover from surgery and beyond. My mother is a survivor and I know you’ll be in that group soon, too!

Also prayers in general that we all work hard towards finding a cure for this and other women’s health issues that touch EVERY ONE of our lives.

  4. Prayers are being said now. And I will say them again tomorrow.

I am currently teaching my kindergarten choir James 5:16 “Pray for one another. For prayer is Powerful!” (shortened version of course.)
    Speedy recovery!

  5. Susan, you are in my thoughts today and will be in my prayers as you go through your surgery and recovery. Keep your positive attitude. It will serve you well. And help you heal faster.

Take time for yourself, not just the recovery time, but go into extreme self-care mode. Let other people help you out. It isn’t weakness to lean on others when you need to. People are incredibly kind and generous.

We love you and are praying for your full recovery.

  6. Positive thoughts and prayers are being sent to you Susan. I wish you a good outcome and a speedy and full recovery. Thank you for sharing with us. Love and good wishes, Kristi

  7. My dad’s wife is a 15+ year survivor and healthy as can be so I know excellent outcomes are very possible!! Please let Susan know we are thinking of and praying for her. I hope she’s a knitter and will be able to find lots of positive Karma in yarn therapy (or even if she’s not, she can just hang around TLE and soak up the good vibes!). I know she’ll be back soon giving the usual fabulous service we all count on and enjoy.

  8. Susan, I will hold you and your family in my prayers. You are such a delight to talk with when I call in and always so very helpful. You take such good care of all of us, now it’s our turn to help you!!

  9. She looks absolutely delightful; someone we’d all love to know better. Surely all the good thoughts and prayers will find their way to her doctors and nurses and then to her beside to facilitate a great recovery. Hugs all around.

  10. Susan, keep strong, and determined to stay positive. Things will work out fine, I know I was in your shoes twenty-five years ago. Medicine has come a long way since then. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  11. I will definitely be praying as well! I had a friend who recently had a close call and know how scary all of this can be. Best wishes to Susan and her family and friends!

  12. Susan, you will be in my thoughts and prayers and I’m sure with a positive attitude and the loving support of your family and friends you’ll have this licked in no time flat. It’s hard when bad things happen to good people. Good luck!

  13. Best wishes and good luck Susan. My mom went through Breast Cancer when she was in her upper 30’s, and she’s still going strong at almost 59.

  14. Healing thoughts, warm wellness wishes and prayers for you, Susan, for your Loopy family and for all who hold you dear. Big hug!

  15. Many prayers and thoughts of an easy surgery and a smooth recovery for you, Susan. And, although Web Guy won’t want to hear this, may Loopy be tipped from all the good wishes and thoughts going out to you! ;D

  16. God answers prayers, and I am confident that all the Loopy Groupies will be wrapping you in their arms. Cancer can and does goes away, never to come back. That is what I pray for you.

  17. Dang! Susan, get well soon! A gazillion Groupies are rooting for you, 1000%. And a gazillion times a thousand is, like…well, I just can’t count that high. *hugs*

  18. Prayers and positive thoughts are coming Susan’s way from Baltimore. I remember that a study was done (I believe at Duke) that showed that people who prayed and had prayers said for them had a much better outcome. That should bode well for Susan, as will her positive attitude.

  19. Susan, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers for a successful operation, a speedy recovery and that you keep your bright, sunny outlook.

  20. Susan,
Many prayers coming your way. I was diagnosed at age 39 with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. I’m 59 now, thanks to God, many prayers, and lots of hug medicine from my children and husband. If you can get hold of a copy of Bernie Siegel’s “Love, Medicine, and Miracles”, I’d highly recommend it. A nurse gave it to me to read right before my mastectomy and I’ve been giving copies of it to my friends over the years who have battled cancer. He really offers such a positive slant on things. You’ll make it through this and, believe it or not, come out on the other side of the experience realizing that you’ve been given a blessing that few others have —the chance to really know how precious every single moment of life is.

  21. As a survivor, I can tell you that hope and prayers are extremely powerful. I hope everything goes smoothly for you and you are carried by our caring and prayers.

  22. Susan – I’ll be thinking of you. You’ve always been so great to work with. Please let us know how you’re doing.

    Hugs,

  23. My prayers are with you Susan! I’ll be watching for good news.

I go in next month for a 6-mo follow up on my yearly mamogram. The downfall of having dense boobs is that there’s always a follow-up – FPS. Better safe than sorry though.

Keep us in the Loop, Sheri

  24. Dear Susan: My thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep up your spirits. Sending all positive wishes to you and your family. Please keep us posted Sheri. Know that your extended Loopy Ewe family is supporting you! Sending hugs, Kim
