Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies (and a CONTEST!)

It’s Friday, and I have another tried and true recipe for you. I have decided that I have so many peanut butter recipes pinned on my Pinterest account that I finally just gave in and started a peanut butter board. Apparently I like peanut butter in things.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip CookiesPeanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3 Tbl. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream together the peanut butter, butter, and both sugars. Beat in the milk, egg and vanilla until fluffy.

Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl and then add into the peanut butter mixture.

Roll into tablespoon-sized balls. Place 2″ apart on cookie sheets and press down with a fork.

Bake 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees. Enjoy!

unnamed-7This recipe got me to thinking about peanut butter and chocolate colored yarn, which resulted in a walk around The Loopy and a peanut buttered Loopy photo. We have a LOT of beautiful yarn here in the shop. I try not to take too many walk-abouts because I always come back to my office with an armful of yarn that I need to buy. SO.MUCH.BEAUTIFUL.YARN.HERE.

So here’s the contest question – which skein of beautiful yarn would you like to win from The Loopy Ewe? Leave your answer in the comments and I’ll do a random drawing next week and we will send it to you! (Well, we’ll send it to you if we draw your name. You know how contests work!)

  1. I need to read these recipe posts! I usually try not to because of the temptation to eat what I shouldn’t, lol!
I’d love to win a skein of Blue Moon Worthy in the Cranberry Bogged colorway.
Thank you for your oh so kind generosity!
    Smiles,

  2. I think the better question is which skein would I NOT want to win? The Worthy in Tardis Blue is my current favorite.

  3. I am realling loving the blue moon fiber arts socks that rock in the tour de socks 2015. but then again I love them all.

  4. Blue Moon Fiber Arts – Worthy “Nudie Patootie” – Hands down! This is a skein that’s always been on the top of my list.

  8. I’d love to win Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Mediumweight in Fleece Navidad. I have loved that colorway for years and never get around to buying it until it’s either out of stock or it’s past Christmas. This would give me a jumpstart on the holiday! 🙂 STR is my all time favorite yarn–in any weight! Thanks Sheri!

  11. Hi Sherri,
I am a peanut butter devotee from way back to my fluffer-nutter days. I think the Pashmina in glazed pecan looks most like peanut butter, and would be simply delicious knit up into a warm cowl.
    Thanks for holding the contest!

  13. I would love to try that favorite yarn of yours, Blue Moon Fiber Arts Worthy since I want to really know why you like it so much. I can understand why with the amount of cashmere it has, but other yarns have that, too. I want to know why this yarn stands out.
