Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies (and a CONTEST!)

It’s Friday, and I have another tried and true recipe for you. I have decided that I have so many peanut butter recipes pinned on my Pinterest account that I finally just gave in and started a peanut butter board. Apparently I like peanut butter in things.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip CookiesPeanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3 Tbl. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream together the peanut butter, butter, and both sugars. Beat in the milk, egg and vanilla until fluffy.

Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl and then add into the peanut butter mixture.

Roll into tablespoon-sized balls. Place 2″ apart on cookie sheets and press down with a fork.

Bake 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees. Enjoy!

unnamed-7This recipe got me to thinking about peanut butter and chocolate colored yarn, which resulted in a walk around The Loopy and a peanut buttered Loopy photo. We have a LOT of beautiful yarn here in the shop. I try not to take too many walk-abouts because I always come back to my office with an armful of yarn that I need to buy. SO.MUCH.BEAUTIFUL.YARN.HERE.

So here’s the contest question – which skein of beautiful yarn would you like to win from The Loopy Ewe? Leave your answer in the comments and I’ll do a random drawing next week and we will send it to you! (Well, we’ll send it to you if we draw your name. You know how contests work!)

  7. I’ve got my eye on a skein of Wollemeise DK in Lila Ludmilla, or pretty much any color of Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere.

  8. Those cookies look so good! I’ll have to bake them with the kids this week. 😀

  9. I would love to win a skein of Rastita Glitter. The colours and the texture look amazing. I can see a warm winter hat.
Just off to have a go at making the peanut butter cookies.

Do you mean any yarn in the shop or just the ones in the picture? If I could pick any skein at the Loopy Ewe, it would be Hedgehog Fibers Sock Yarn in Dusk, so that I could make something pink for my daughter.

  15. I’d love to win a skein of The Fibre Company’s Tundra in Taiga. I really want to try this yarn. And the cookies – they look wonderful!!

  16. Those peanut butter chocolate chip cookies would go really well with a cup of tea right about now . . .

I would love to win the Hedgehog Fibres sock yarn in the Malice colorway. It would be perfect for Halloween.

  17. I absolutely love the ‘Sheri’ colorway in Malabrigo Mechita. I have a friend named Sheri, with that spelling, and I think it will eventually need to become a cowl for her.

Thank you for the cookie recipe – looks GOOD!

  18. I’ve really been wanting to try Hedgehog Fibres. Truffle looks great and so fitting to this post…peanut butter truffles!

  19. I’m using a skein of Blend now to knit a Heaven and Space and was thinking this evening how much I’d love to have another skein to make a shawl for my daughter. I doubted there would be any in stock, but to my surprise there were two really nice blues available that would be perfect for her. I’d love Blend in ‘Sail the 7 Seas’, but there’s only 1 skein, so if that’s gone, I’d love ‘Elsa.’ Regardless of whether or not I am a lucky girl, I’ll definitely be using this yarn again. I’ve never felt anything so soft and kind to my hands!

  20. I would love to win a skein of Breathless Bark. It would make a gorgeous fall shawl. Loopy looks great in browns.

  21. I would like to win a skein of Madelintosh Pashmina in Glazed Pecan but all of those skeins in the picture are gorgeous…

  32. Well, if we’re choosing from those skeins, the Kauni ED. If we’re choosing from ALL the skeins at The Loooy Ewe, it is much harder. I’d love a tonal Wollmeise laceweight in blue, or red, or … probably any color you chose!

    Thanks for another great contest!

And to be fair, I won something a while back, so don’t choose me!
