Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies (and a CONTEST!)

It’s Friday, and I have another tried and true recipe for you. I have decided that I have so many peanut butter recipes pinned on my Pinterest account that I finally just gave in and started a peanut butter board. Apparently I like peanut butter in things.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip CookiesPeanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3 Tbl. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream together the peanut butter, butter, and both sugars. Beat in the milk, egg and vanilla until fluffy.

Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl and then add into the peanut butter mixture.

Roll into tablespoon-sized balls. Place 2″ apart on cookie sheets and press down with a fork.

Bake 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees. Enjoy!

unnamed-7This recipe got me to thinking about peanut butter and chocolate colored yarn, which resulted in a walk around The Loopy and a peanut buttered Loopy photo. We have a LOT of beautiful yarn here in the shop. I try not to take too many walk-abouts because I always come back to my office with an armful of yarn that I need to buy. SO.MUCH.BEAUTIFUL.YARN.HERE.

So here’s the contest question – which skein of beautiful yarn would you like to win from The Loopy Ewe? Leave your answer in the comments and I’ll do a random drawing next week and we will send it to you! (Well, we’ll send it to you if we draw your name. You know how contests work!)

  1. What a great competition :0)
I would love to win any of your yarns at all, I love so many but the Worthy in Help us Rhonda as I just love the song and the colour :0)

  2. The Blue Moon Fiber Arts Worthy sounds super. Who could resist cashmere and silk? As a spinner, I could also go for the Polwarth and silk roving.
The peanut butter and chocolate chip recipe is also very enticing. Here in Madison, a small company makes a chocolate peanut butter – it makes wonderful peanut butter cookies.
    Thanks for the yarn contest.

  3. Ooooh maybe Wollmeise Blend in Ein Klein Wenig Verrucht – because I’ve tried the other WM bases, and who can resist a colourway with that name. 😉 (And then I noticed that “everyone” picks Blue Moon Worthy, and I can totally understand why – it looks gorgeous. I’m changing my mind, I’ll pick Worthy in the Smoke on the Water colourway. So pretty!)

  8. I would love a skein of BMFA Worthy in HRH Crown Princess of Purple. I haven’t tried that base yet and it sounds y.u.m.m.y – plus, I love the name of that color way….especially since my husband has been known to call me Queenie a time or two. I don’t know why though…

  9. I just made peanut cookies last week. I put them in a mini muffin pan and as soon as them come out of the oven, I put a mini peanut butter cup on top and press it down. If I’m lucky enough to win I’d pick Blue Moon Fiber Arts, Worthy – Fingering H.R.H. Crown Princess of Purple Violetta.
