It’s Friday, and I have another tried and true recipe for you. I have decided that I have so many peanut butter recipes pinned on my Pinterest account that I finally just gave in and started a peanut butter board. Apparently I like peanut butter in things.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3 Tbl. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cream together the peanut butter, butter, and both sugars. Beat in the milk, egg and vanilla until fluffy.
Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl and then add into the peanut butter mixture.
Roll into tablespoon-sized balls. Place 2″ apart on cookie sheets and press down with a fork.
Bake 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees. Enjoy!
This recipe got me to thinking about peanut butter and chocolate colored yarn, which resulted in a walk around The Loopy and a peanut buttered Loopy photo. We have a LOT of beautiful yarn here in the shop. I try not to take too many walk-abouts because I always come back to my office with an armful of yarn that I need to buy. SO.MUCH.BEAUTIFUL.YARN.HERE.
So here’s the contest question – which skein of beautiful yarn would you like to win from The Loopy Ewe? Leave your answer in the comments and I’ll do a random drawing next week and we will send it to you! (Well, we’ll send it to you if we draw your name. You know how contests work!)

Peanut Butter Yarn in photo: Kauni ED, Cumbria Catbells, Black Water Abbey Autumn, Pashmina Glazed Pecan, Rastita Glitter, and Breathless Bark.
Wow…what a great giveaway!! I would love to win a skein of Baah Yarn, La Jolla in the Big Wave Bay. Thanks!
Oh I would love to try a skein of Kauni!
I’d love a skein of western sky knits in Poppy seed. So lovely
What a great idea for a contest. There are many, many skeins I would love to have, but I was just thinking how wonderful it would be to have one skein of Shalimar Breathless. I made a Marin shawl from it in 2013 and gave it away. I want my own Breathless Marin this fall!
Handmaiden Seasilk. I bought Cedar Leaf Shawlette years ago, but have yet to buy the yarn. That would be the one I’d pick. Thanks for another terrific giveaway.
After I poked around a little bit, I found Meadowcroft Dyeworks, Rockshelter Sock Morning Glories which is simply stunning.
Wollmeise Lace in Im Jahr der Ratte. Thanks for the contest opportunity! I’ll be making these cookies and checking out your peanut butter pinterest board. I like peanut butter in lots of things too. 🙂
Lovely autumnal colours.
Have to say I’d select The Fibre Company Cumbria in Catbells. I’ve been wanting a skein of masham for some time now.
Ooh…Wollmeise Blend in the Elsa colorway would be on my list of dream yarns.
The top of my splurge list is Blue Moon Fiber Arts Worthy. I have only seen it in person once, locked in a glass cabinet – talk about making want some even more! I love the two colors you still have, but if I had to pick, I’d probably say Pining 4 Ewe edges Hoofie Foofie by a teeny bit.
It’s October, so I’d love to try some of the Blue Skies Alpaca, Worsted Cotton in the Pumpkin color.
Dream in Color Worsted in Milky Spite. I’ve just knit two cowls out of DIC Worsted, and they are such enjoyable knits!
Amelie B in Story by Fable Fibers is so lovely.
What a difficult question to answer with just one skein! LOL I went to my wishlist to narrow it down. I’d love a skein of Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts, Heavy Fingering Yarn in Flame Point Siamese, to knit something in memory of my little buddy Barbecue! He never could resist sitting on my knitting. 🙂
How could I really answer this question?!!! TLE is just too full of yarny goodness. I’ll go with Breathless since I recently had some wonderful customer service from them. Thanks for all the great blog posts!
Black water abby
I love the Ancient Arts Fibre yarn in Calico (reminds me of one of my cats). Thanks very much. Denise

That is a very challenging question to answer, but I would love to have the Fiberstory gradient set in Marooned.
Wow, I didn’t know such a yarn existed, but now I’m intrigued by Worthy in Pining 4 Ewe.
I’d love a skein of Shalimar Breathless in Merlin’s Beard!
Wollmeise Lace in Vamp — I see some sort of Go Big Red (Nebraska) wrap made from it
I’d pick Hedgehog fibers Merino Lace in the Wish colorway. So pretty. xo.
I love Wollmeise, I would like to try Blend in any color of blue or purple
Wow, where to begin? I guess I would ask for a skein of my all-time favorite Lace–Wollmeise–in the colorway Jacuzzi, I have been pining for a skein of it for years and missed it again in the last update! And if I weren’t avoiding all things sugary this month, I would go right home and make those yummy-sounding cookies…
It would be fabulous to win a skein of Wollmeise Pure in Petit Poison Nr.5 Medium. I’m not sure which I enjoy the most; the yarn or the recipes…..yarn of course.
I would love, love, love a skein of 3 Irish Girls in O’Donnell color way 🙂
Step one, make cookies.
Step two, pick out a favorite skein.
I love Wollmeise Pure, but this could be a chance to branch out and try Sweet Georgia Tough Love in Hummingbird. Never used it but I have heard lots about it and the color just looks so cheerful.
I’d love to knit a cowl out of Hand Maiden Sea Silk in Rainforest. Just looking at the colors makes me happy.
Great idea! I long for Shibui Knits silk cloud in brass.
Your recipes all sound so yummy!
I looked through the yarn, and I think I would love Handmaiden Casbah Silk Fine in the Paris colorway. That way I could make a scarf or shawlette and wear it to Paris 😉
Oooh. It is so hard to choose from all the yarns you guys carry! That said I’ve recently discovered hedgehog fibres and right now the color Dragonfly in the sock base is calling my name!
Rastita Glitter is calling my name!
This is really hard to choose just one yarn! I guess I would have to go with any of the Sweet Georgia Tough Love skeins.
Oh, what a fun contest. I’d love Wollmeise Blend in Elsa.
Does more than one skein count? I’ve recently been admiring the Fiberstory Gradient – Marooned set. If that doesn’t count, I love any MadTosh sock!
Wollmeise Blend in sail the 7 seas please!
Would love to have a Wollmeise skein in Grapes for Sheri.
Three Irish Girls Glenhaven Fingering in Jolene. I swear I’m going to buy it one of these days and make something pretty out of it. I just don’t know what yet….
Yummy recipe! And love that you want to share yarn with us! I like JulieSpins 435. The colors are beautiful, particularly pink fling and royal.
That is SO sweet of you!
One wish is to try Mini Maiden by Hand Maiden yarns. The color way Boreal is calling to me. Reminds me of fall which has hit hard here in central Indiana!
I would love any color of Pashmina…Rain water calls out to me on this rainy day in PA.
Jade Sapphire Mongolian cashmere in Caribbean Mist – I can only imagine how lovely that would feel around my neck!
I have been wanting to try Ancient Arts Fibre Craft yarn ever since you got it in stock– love them all but right now Rose Tribute is calling to me!
What a fun contest! I keep going back to look at the Dream in Color Classy, Big Box of Crayons. But one of my favorite things to do in the middle of the night while I rock the baby is browse The Loopy Ewe!
If I get to dream, then Hand Maiden Casbah Silk Fine in the Paris colorway!
Wollmeise, Twin Skandal um Rosi
Not sure at all what I would do with it, but it is just so pretty in the skein.
Tumbleweed Yarns, Aurora in the Glow Worm colorway!
Those cookies look amazing..I want one…or six now!!!
I’m obsessed with self-striping yarn lately!
Biscotte & Cie, Felix Gazania A
I would love Pashmina in Glazed Pecan.
