Loopy Academy Winter Break and a CONTEST!

What are you and Loopy up to during this month of Winter Break from Loopy Academy? We noticed our Little Loopy doing some selfies today and thought we’d share them with you.

He picked out new yarn for a project.

He checked out the stock room and contemplated opening up the new deliveries.

He went to the library “to study”, but I can see that he’s looking at novels, not instructional books.

And he broke his dieting resolution, by stopping by Mary’s Mountain Cookies on the way back from the library.

All in all, no resolution-keeping and no studying going on around him this month.
He needs Loopy Academy’s Second Semester to start up soon and keep him a bit more occupied.

What are you and your Loopy up to this month? Leave a comment or email us a photo (support@theloopyewe.com) and we’ll use the random generator to pick a winner next week. What do you win? A $50 Loopy Gift Certificate, which you can use now, or spend on Loopy Academy projects in a couple of weeks, or save for a rainy day!

Sheri and Mischievous Loopy

P.S. The final winner from our second Random Acts of Kindness blog post in December is Jan in VA who wins one of our Blue Sky Alpacas kits! (Let us know which one you’d like, Jan!)

    1. Loopy and I are both cold and highly motivated to knit cowls and mittens! January is National Knit Mittens month after all.

  1. Little Loopy was playing a game of tic-tac-toe with me on my new quilted game board (pix were just posted on my pictures this morning here and on the Loopy Groupie Sewing Corner thread on Ravelry). I used the Hearty Good Wishes and Lexington fabrics from TLE for it. He’s now supervising me knitting another hat for my grandson (Malabrigo Rios in Coco color again from TLE) while we watch the Sheep to Shawl Competition from the PA Farm Show live on TV. (He felt embarrassed looking at the naked sheep after they were shorn but seemed interested in the spinning and weaving)

  2. Little Loopy and I are trying to knit as much as possible before it becomes to hot. It is already 74 degrees down here in Fort Lauderdale and its only January.

  3. Loopy and I are looking at pretty yarn when we should be doing something more productive. Loopy suggested that the “more productive” thing would be to actually buy the yarn!!

  4. Little Loopy is hibernating at home while I’m working and having to brave the cold to earn money for yarn! The only issue he may have is having a cat sleeping with him. Such a life…..

  5. Loopy and I are busy working on homework for school so that we can have some fun knitting later tonight 🙂

  6. Loopy is helping me get through a boring afternoon at work by wandering through Ravelry to find a new project to start when I get hom.

  7. We’re working too much over here! And looking forward to the weekend where it’s all knit and veg..knit and veg..

  8. Working away on some post Christmas gift knitting. For Christmas I let my 2 nieces each choose an accessory pattern that I would knit for them. They chose cute patterns and the lovely Copper Corgi yarn, which I have never used before but I am loving! (But kind of can’t wait to be done with these so I can feel like Christmas is over!)

  9. Little Loopy is cracking the whip and making me stay focused finishing up those Christmas Gifts that didn’t quite get done! He wants me to ready to start the next semester Loopy Academy projects without any distractions!

  10. Loopy is helping me make big bulky mittens and a double warm hat for the cold cold winter weather here in Wisconsin!

  11. We are working on getting my “work-school” semester stuff ready so I am a prepared teacher – but Loopy keeps mixing up my three classes and getting things in the wrong place. I am trying to keep him busy working on WIPs that have been hanging around for awhile.

  12. Loopy and I are working on expanding my sewing skills and spinning up some stash fibers (he is mostly getting tangled up in string/thread). 🙂

  13. Loopy and I knitted a hat and mitts for a little friend and we organized the sewing room! Loopy liked the sewing room so much that he decided to lean back and rest for a bit.

  14. Loopy and I are sleeping in and taking a break. He’s so glad to have a few weeks off from his hard work of keeping me focused and knitting on the “right” things.

  15. Loopy is discovering bubbles while I read in the tub. He declined a bath and found a book to his liking that he is reading by the heating vent.

  16. My Loopy (actually a spoiled Shih Tzu) and I are working on socks, socks, and more socks between napping and my regular J-O-B

  17. My Loopy and I are desperately fighting off a serious case of startitis and trying to NOT begin ALL THE THINGS that we put off until after Christmas. Loopy is not helping, as so far I have started 4 new things. Loopy is about to go in time out.

  18. My little Loopy has been watching me clean up my studio so I have room to bind my quilt.
He’s also keeping an eye on me so I will finish a few knitting WIPs and not start any new ones until Loopy Academy starts

  19. I’m still working on a sweater made from the “Celebrating the Games” Smooshy with Cashmere. I want to finish it before winter is over in a couple months!

  20. Loopy and I are working away on a Tulip sweater for our new granddaughter. Have to knit faster, to finish before she outgrows it!

  21. Little Loopy is trying to help me keep my focus on getting some old WIP’s done. So far he has just helped me start 2 new projects…oops 🙂

  22. Little Loopy and I are checking the mail box every hour looking for our first order from Loopy Central this year to be delivered – THREE SKEINS OF WOLLMEISE!!!!

He says knit faster, order more yarn.

  23. Loopy and I are finishing some long outstanding knitting projects. The rule this year is that I must complete 2 old projects before I can start one new project!

  24. Loopy’s been on a finishing kick…making me drag out wip’s and finishing them up. I’ve also sorted through my stash. Feels good!

  25. I’m starting classes at university in pursuit of my Masters. It’s not as fun as Loopy Academy but worth it.

  26. My little Loopy and I are cruising patterns and tapping our finger waiting for second semester. I am also trying to organize and sort out my stash. I keep asking Loopy to help but he just keeps playing peek-a-boo behind my Wollmeise and telling me I need to make him a little sweater out of my Worthy. Not on your life, Loops!!

  27. My Loopy and I are working on trying to finish up some projects, but meanwhile thoughts of new projects that we could start keep creeping in….

  28. Well, I should be cranking out work and knitting, but instead right before Christmas we adopted a puppy from the SPCA. Needless to say my days are filled with all things puppy-related. Just back from puppy kindergarten class in fact. All in all, it is not so bad. 🙂
