We have a new feature on the website for you! This has been in the works for quite some time, and it’s a lot of fun to work with, as well as being really handy for planning future projects. With our new Project Planner you can:
– see how different yarn or fabric colors work together
– see how prices, weights, gauges compare
– get a cost for the project – keep track of multiple projects
– share your planner page link with a friend to get an opinion (or to inspire them to knit along with you!)
– leave notes for yourself (Which pattern? Which color for which section? Any other thoughts?)
– indicate how many skeins are needed of each color
– easily transfer it over to your shopping cart to purchase
– or save it for later while you think it over or start a new planning page for a different project
You’ll always find your saved Project Plans on your Loopy account page, once you’ve logged in.
On each individual product page on our website, you’ll see the “Add to Wishlist” link (which we’ve always had) and now a new “Add to Project Planner” link below that. I have been busy planning some of my Christmas gift knitting projects, as well as a couple of other knitting projects and some quilts that I want to do. (I may be having too much fun with this feature.) You can click on the photo to enlarge it and see what I’m working on. I also realized that having multiple projects planned lets me see if I have too much of the same color going on. (I’m talking about you, Teal!) We are ready for Fall Giftables signups, and the first kit is shipping the third week in September! Remember – by taking a spot, you’re committing to purchasing all three kits in the Club. To secure your spot, we’re having you pre-pay for the first month. (Again, this will ship out to you around the third week in September.) We’ll invoice you in mid October and mid November for the other two kits. You also have the option of paying for all three months (September, October, November) right off the bat, if you’d prefer. (If you signed up for your last Giftables Club and dropped out midway through, you will need to prepay for all three months to reserve a spot this time.) We have pretty yarn, fun accessories, and beautiful patterns all lined up for you this fall, and look forward to shipping them out to you!

Since I’m home on medical leave I get to knit all I want. Fun.
We had an early Labor Day celebration at work today. The food trucks began arriving at 11 am for our enjoyment!!! I had a stuff burger from Mr. Sizzle. Doesn’t get much better than that!
I got a massage. That was definitely the best thing so far today.
I would have to say that it was the nap that I took this afternoon 🙂
My favorite thing today was going out to lunch with my aunt and husband and finishing a cowl this afternoon.
Its my husbands last day on the job after 40 years. Retirement starts tomorrow.
Today my brother turned 50!!! Lunch was spent at the Cheesecake Factory, eating Cheesecake – what a way to spend a Wednesday!!!

Definitely finishing the weaving in of ends on a pair of fingerless mitts for my friend’s daughter who just went off to college. Not only finished, but steamed, gift wrapped, care intructions typed up, packaged, and mailed! woot woot! Now I only have myself to knit for. sweeeeeeet!
My favorite thing about today was sitting outside knitting in the sunny 75 degree temperatures. It was so nice I was able to rip out 13 stitches 14 rows into my sock to correct an error, and I was successful!
walking to the library with my 2 year old great niece. We investigated every nook and cranny of the children’s area (including climbing in the book cubbies) and actually looked at some picture books. Another generation learning to love books!
My favorite thing about today is coming home to find my husband has canned a dozen jars of my favorite salsa with the tomatoes from the garden. It’s so nice to realize that he thinks about me even when I’m gone.
My favorite part of my day so far has been spending a few hours with my daughter-in-law and ten day old grandson (my first). I am totally in love with this little guy!
My favorite moment so far today was when my husband brought me some diet coke (since our vending machine is out at work).

My grandkids are visiting. I received an email thank you note from my grandson who thanked me for his new sneakers which arrived just in time for the first day of seventh grade.

My favorite thing hasn’t happened yet, but since it will in fifteen minutes, I might as well mention it. Today is knit-together day for my group. We meet every Wednesday and it’s something to look forward to. My knitting friends have been with me for about five years now, and I could honestly say that they have been with me through thick and thin.
My favorite thing for today was having lunch with my parents and my children. Getting everyone together is a treat.

Favorite thing today? Has to be completing the purchase of a new car. Replacing a 1997 rust heap (that wouldn’t pass state inspection, I imagine) with a 2014 (last one on the lot, but still brand new). And for a car purchase, it was pretty painless. No baloney, and a good price in the end.
Lunch with a friend I haven’t seen all summer, to catch up on work projects and fun projects and plan a driving trip to a conference later this fall.
Here in Arizona it’s still hot, even though the calendar will say September soon. My favorite thing today was watching the remaining clouds from our monsoon season take shapes like giant bunnies, huge teddy bears, and yes, skeins of soft fluffy yarn!
