Wacky Wednesday

snow2It’s a busy week here, with 130+ people flying in for our annual Spring Fling Retreat. (Well, annual except that we took last year off, since we had just moved to Colorado and were still finding our way around here!) Of course since it’s April and it’s Colorado, we spiced things up a little by getting 20+ inches of snow in the past 48 hours. It’s really beautiful out there, and we definitely need the moisture. deck2Here’s a picture of our yard at 6:30 am yesterday morning. Those poor trees are heavy laden! WH went out there and knocked some snow off after this photo. We swept off the deck once yesterday, and it filled right back up. Fortunately, it’s supposed to warm up tomorrow, and the snow will start melting quickly. But we’re enjoying it while it lasts.

I won’t be able to blog on Friday, but I’ll be back with you next week with a Fling report and photos, as well as a chance for you to win one of our Spring Fling Goodie Bags!

  1. Sheri since when did Colorado act like it’s part of Canada !? Love the photos but happy we’re in Spring here in NJ ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. See you tomorrow. Hope the airport and roads are plowed out by then — looks like they are quite a mess from the early Flinger reports coming in today.

  3. I sure does look cool outside. Happy Spring Flinging! I wish I was there this year, Maybe next year I will make it.

  4. Sorry I’m not going to be there to enjoy Spring Fling. I thought I’d still be working; turns out I retired earlier than I thought. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Ya’ll have a wonderful Fling. Now that we’ve moved to Austin, TX I may get to join you one year soon, although I don’t know about all that snow! It’s been in the 80+ in Austin this week (my kind of weather :>).

  6. Meanwhile it is raining in Chicago. Our back yard and the neighbors’ are flooded and water is running down the driveway and into the street. Fortunately, the storm sewers are draining ok. I had to detour coming home due to street flooding. I heard we might get as much rain today and tomorrow as we normally get in all of April! I hope you have a wonderful Spring Fling!

  7. Sheri, I hope one day to be able to come to Fling! Have a great time, and we’ll live vicariously through posts on Ravelry!

  8. For once it’s snowing someplace else! We’re getting rain this time lots of RAIN!
Hope you have a very successful Spring Fling. Can’t wait to hear all about it.
One of these days, one of these days I WILL get there!

  9. I was complaining because it’s cold, wet and off and on snowy-rainy here in dairyland! Goodness, all that snow!!! I hope everyone has a great time at Spring Fling! Maybe one of these years, I can come! Enjoy all!

  10. I hope all the lucky people who are going to be at Spring Fling have a great time! I can’t be there this year, but I will be visiting Denver & TLE on May 2. Looking forward to meeting the Denver Elves and seeing Sheri then!

  11. Sooo that’s what snow looks like! I’m jealous actually, I’ve only seen snow once and my kids have yet to see it. I’m in sunny California – I think we’re in the low 80s today!
