Although it doesn’t look much like Spring (or Mother’s Day) out there, it’s coming right around the corner and we’re ready for it. We put together a special Mother’s Day Kit for you! (Or you can call it a Spring Kit, if you just want to buy one for yourself. Totally allowed.)
For this kit, we had Julie of Juliespins dye up a special color for us on her Glimmer base. Glimmer is a fingering weight yarn with 430 yards, 75″ Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon, and 5% Stellina. It has a little glimmer of silver running through the skein – just enough to catch the light.
We had cute mugs done up, and they come with a little dish that you can use for a coaster, for a lid (to keep your coffee or tea warm), or for a little catch-all container when you’re knitting (beads, darning needles, little scissors, stitch markers, etc). To round out the kit, we’ve added a sweet little sheep notepad and a Happy Spring stitch marker, made for us by Knit Girl in Idaho.
This yarn would be beautiful knit up in a shawl, scarf, cowl or mitts pattern. I’m planning on using my skein with the Little Jazz pattern that we shared with you a few years ago in one of our Club Kits. If you’d like a free copy of that to go along with your kit, just leave us an order note and we’ll email that to you when your kit ships out.
Since we had to pre-box these with plenty of packing to protect the mug, each kit must be shipped by itself and can’t be combined with other orders. For international shipments, we will do our very best at wrapping the mugs carefully but we can’t guarantee no breakage, so just know that you’re taking a risk. Unless you want us to come visit you and hand-deliver your kit? That would be fun. š
We don’t have a regular Monday Update tonight, but we will be re-stocking Addi Turbo needles, Knitter’s Pride needles, Cascade 220, and Cascade 220 Superwash in the next day or two, if you’ve been waiting on any of that.

Love the Mother’s Day Kit. I may just have to buy one for myself! The “A Little Jazz” pattern is a great one with the ruffle on the edge. I have my homework done for the Susan B. Anderson workshop on the 17th and can hardly wait!

As I’m a mother to 2 fluffy Shih Tzu’s I’ve ordered my kit! I just had to have it. Hope the Spring Fling goes well and you all have tons of fun – even in the snow.
I’m a mom, but my kids think I have too much yarn… I don’t know that there is such a thing, so I treated myself.
Update… I got the Mother’s day kit on Thursday (ordered it late on Monday)… The yarn is much more beautiful in person. Thanks for the quick service and the beautiful product.
