Do you ever feel like you stepped onto an out-of-control merry-go-round? (Or yarn winder, if one were able to sit on a yarn winder….) That’s what this week has felt like. Busy, busy, busy. Maybe I just need to sit and chill and knit for awhile tonight. I’ve been working on my Cabled Rib Wrap and not working on my Charleston Tea (although I need to). I’m also ready to get another scarf on the loom. The purple one from last week is done. I’ll show it to you as soon as I wash and block it. I had fun working on it!

Knitting was the gateway to spinning, then weaving. I’m still trying on crochet. Love that green colorway.
I sewers as a youngster and did some quilting as a young adult. Life, marriage and a child stopped that creative process until my husband started a fiber herd of alpacas. I’ve since learned to spin, dye, weave and felt my own fiber. What a blast learning all the new things I can do with ANY type of animal fiber……….always looking for new color ways, new combination of blending… Life really got good and fun!

I quilted before I deeply fell in love with knitting.
I use to cross-stitch but since I got back to knitting, there is NO other.
I love Big Band Jazz, but maybe that’s because I played in jazz bands in both high school & college, I don’t know. When my son took a course in the History of Jazz, he was shocked and amazed that I have vinyl albums from many of the best jazz musicians and bands in our basement. Every once in awhile, Mom comes through with some things that still can amaze my sons!

I used to do beadwork. Now it’s almost all knitting, reading, and gardening.
I sew and quilt a little bit and I used to do cross stitch before I learned how to knit.
There was a time when I balanced cross stitch, smocking and embroidery with knitting. However they’ve taken a back seat to knitting for a few years now. On occasion I will put down the needles and pick up a crochet hook to crochet my favourite afghan pattern.
Why, yes I do — thanks for asking! I spin, and I used to cross-stitch. I have a loom that was given to me, but I haven’t yet walked down that crazy pathway. Hopefully, i will sometime soon!

I had a wonderful time at your weaving class in September, so now I knit and weave! Also do a bit of quilting for Project Linus.
Although in the evenings I knit, and love it, I am an avid sewer, smocker and now quilter. So I am busy making things for the 6 people I love and my only grandson Wookie, a bulldog.
Other needlearts….hmmm…quilting, cross stitch, and occasionally embroidery, silk ribbon embroidery, and smocking! But the main pastimes are quilting and knitting! Oh, and I’m learning to crochet, and would love to learn to do tatting and bobbin lace!

I spin, I sew, I felt some, I used to weave when I was a teenager (miss being able to!) I do some beading, embroidery, and a little cross stitch – I just love fiber arts in general!
I’m a quilter…although. It’s taken second place since I’ve taken up knitting again. New yarn looks like a winner.
I did cross stitch as a kid, and I do some basic sewing from time to time. I also do some basic crochet, but it’s mainly knitting in my life these days!

What glorious yarn from Fibernymph Dye Works! I like to sew and once once quite addicted until I began knitting about 8 years ago. Now I am totally addicted to knitting and fiber – I love it! Hope to take up spinning once I use up some of my stash (ha.)
I do a lot of needle work, I sew, especially Halloween costumes for the grandchildren, I quilt, needlepoint, embroidery, counted cross stitch and crocheting. I do mostly knitting the past 7 years. Love the look of the new yarn.

Yes, I crochet, needlepoint, embroidery, cross-stitch, and sew 🙂 I don’t think I’ve ever met a “crafter” who does not have more than one hobby LOL.
I’ve been knitting since I was eight years old, and it’s still my favorite pasttime! I also love to needlepoint, but it doesn’t come close to knitting!

Too many. I taught weaving for many years. I do traditional rug hooking. I spin, knit, tat, cross stitch and just started nuno felting. Love it all. You could not have picked a better dyer than Fibernymph. She is wonderful and so are her yarns and fiber.
I used to do a lot of quilting, but none for the past 2 years because I started knitting g again, with a vengeance . But I have been thinking about starting back to quilting this winter.
if i’m not knitting i’m working on a hardanger embroidery. i’ve made numerous pieces that i’ve given to to others either as a present for a birthday or just cause. But the intricate work is getting very hard on my aging eyes. luckly i’ve got my knitting!
I knit, crochet, hook rugs, dabble in jewelry making, tole painting, make animal blankets, and then I rest!
Knitting is my favorite craft – had to give up counted crosstitch as I enjoyed working with the very small cloth and the eyes were not cooperating. I learned to knit from my Mom years ago – late 40’s- I think I was about 9 when I made my first scarf and still knitting away.
Working hard to finish my last knitted Christmas present for one of three sisters. When I am done with that, I finish up socks for my youngest daugher (Christmas present again!) and drop in to LE for sock yarn for my oldest daughter. Its good I only have 2 daughters.

I like to think of myself of more of a fiber fanatic than a knitter. I crochet, I spin with a drop spindle, and I sew. I love needle crafts especially, like hand beading and embroidery. I used to sew corsets by hand!

I did embroidery and cross stich years ago. I tried crochet and ended up knitting. I tried to learn to sew but it really didn’t stick.
I Spin as well as knit, make lace(both tatting and bobbin lace) and enjoy making jewelry and chain maille. Oh…and I’m a new weaver as well 🙂

I have to Knit everyday to relax and take the stress out of the day. And look at the nice things you get to add to your collection . That makes my day! !
