Do you ever feel like you stepped onto an out-of-control merry-go-round? (Or yarn winder, if one were able to sit on a yarn winder….) That’s what this week has felt like. Busy, busy, busy. Maybe I just need to sit and chill and knit for awhile tonight. I’ve been working on my Cabled Rib Wrap and not working on my Charleston Tea (although I need to). I’m also ready to get another scarf on the loom. The purple one from last week is done. I’ll show it to you as soon as I wash and block it. I had fun working on it!

Seminar each year. I looks forward to my week away at Seminar. It inspires me to get busy with all my needlework be it knitting or needle pointing.

besides knitting, i crochet, quilt and do a little embroidary and cross stitching. i’ve tried other handcrafts, but never took them up. just love my threads and fibers 🙂
I am trying to learn how to spin. I bought a wheel about 25 years ago and it has been a decorative item in my living room but now I am trying to work it. I also use to do needlepoint, counted cross stitch. I had to give them up because I was having trouble seeing well enough to do them. I have also crotched. However, knitting is my first love.

I do it all, and then some!! Knit, crochet, needlepoint, quilt, weave, spin, garden, bead, write, read, teach, paint, refinish furniture, photography, geanology, yoga, Curves, eldercare, cook, and work at the polls. I am retired and there are those who ask what I do. Please………there is not enough hours in the day. And I love every minute of it.

I do! I crochet, I sew (advanced beginner), and I really want to learn to weave. When I was little, I did a lot of cross stitch and plastic canvas stuff. I might get into latch hooking just so I can teach my daughters how.

I used to do a lot of counted cross stitch. But, as my mother said to me one day, “How many samplers can you really use?”
I have done some spindle spinning (not terribly successfully) and lately, I am feeling the itch to learn to weave.
I used to be a bit counted cross-stitcher, but knitting kind of overtook my time. I am going to take a spindle spinning class starting this Sunday! I kind of learned a long time ago, but quickly forgot, so I’m looking forward to *really* learning.
I have done a bit of counted cross stitch and embroidery, but knitting is my main passion. I have been known to do a bit of crochet, as well… And I sew up my girlfriend’s knitted toy projects for her… I like knitting toys, too.

I sometimes do counted cross-stitch. When I was young I did needle latching and have tried to get my granddaughter into it but to no avail.
Just knitting for me, but I’m taking a weaving class soon, and I can’t wait to try it!
I’ve done about everything except spin, although I didn’t master tatting. Not that I’m a master at all of them, but I’m competant in knitting, crocheting, quilting and sewing. I’m a sucker for color and the tactile qualities of fiber.

I quilt, although I haven’t quilted anything for several years. I would LOVE to learn how to crochet, spin and weave. When I was little, I did plastic canvas crafts, but knitting is my true calling. 🙂
I have tried rug hooking and really like it, although its hard to get the materials you need where in live. That Elphaba’s Corset skein is gorgeous!!
I like to do cross stitch when I have some down time. At least I used to do that before I found knitting and now that consumes my free time.
My current constant companion is knitting. But through the years I have crocheted, cross stitched, embroidered, needlepointed, quilted, sewed, need I say more! I love all of the needle arts–there aren’t enough hours in the day or, I fear, years in my life left to do all of the things I want to do or even use up all of the yarn or fabric that I have–but that doesn’t stop me from buying more and adding more projects to my queue. It’s a contest between Elphaba’s Corset and Nothing But Blue Skies (I remember that song 🙂 !)

I learned to sew very young, and have always enjoyed it.
Counted cross stitch was my major love for many years. This was supplanted by knitting five or six years ago.
I knit and spin every chance I get. Lisa from Fibernymph dye works will be a great addition to the Loopy Ewe.
Throughout the years I have knitted, crocheted, needle pointed, embroidered, latch hooked, tatted, counted cross stitched, liquid embroidered, felted, sewed … shall I continue? However, the only one I continue with today is KNITTING! It is the most relaxing and rewarding hobby I can find other than reading a good mystery.
I crochet too and have been known to cross stitch but havent in a really long time.
Oh yes, I also love smocking and heirloom sewing, cross-stitch (samplers!), bit of needlepoint here and there…and have learned crocheting in more recent years. I even did some real lacemaking techniques for a (short) while, but the endproduct is Just too tiny for that that effort!
Yes to all of the above! I have to keep my fingers busy, just can’t sit still! But right now, knitting is ny top choice!
