Here’s a twist on my regular “Three Things” post. Today it’s “Two Truths and a Lie”. I’m just betting you will have no trouble figuring out the lies….
Three things that I must stop doing:
– eating Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies
– going to bed late because I’m “not tired yet”
– knitting single socks
Three things that I am looking forward to next week:
– our appointment with the tax guy
– College Guy coming home for Spring Break
– our week’s vacation in the Colorado mountains starting next Friday
Three things that will be going up in the next Sneak Up:
– roving (from Lone Star Arts and The Dyeing Arts)
– yarn (from Keagan Lane and Farmhouse Fannie’s Fingering)
– swimming suits (summer is coming, you know)
Three things that I did this week:
– laundry
– made cookies with my new Kitchenaid Mixer (of course RED)
– went out to dinner with WH
Three records broken this week:
– 5 minutes (the time it took to sell out the entire batch of Wollmeise)
– 3800+ posts (which now means the Loopy Groupies hold the Ravelry record for one thread!)
– 10 socks (the number of socks I made to match up to some of the singles)
Three things I had to buy at the grocery store this week:
– Eggs
– Almonds
– Milk
Three reasons to leave a comment today:
– this is the March Blog Contest. Winner announced next Wednesday
– you like to make lists of “three”, too
– everyone who comments gets a free latte
Sheri yourememberthatonethingineachlistisalie,right??
(Sonofreelattesforeveryonewhocomments.sorry.)
Five minutes! Crazy! It’s like a concert ticket frenzy. How many skeins per minute would that be, I wonder?
Things I love (that also drive me a little nuts):
1. Sock Madness (over halfway done with sock one!)
2. Little people who are overtired
3. My crazy yarn stash

3. Finish something, anything

You’re right, I do enjoy making lists of threes. 🙂
Things that drive me crazy:
1. When my children play with/hide/break my knitting needles.
2. Talking to my husband twice a day (on the phone)!
3. Spending weeks locked up in my house due to illnesses circulating amongst kids.
Three things I did today:
1. Knit
2. Read
3. Set up, attend, and tear down a wedding
And all 3 of these are true!
Three reasons my week was really crappy:
1. My husband, my son and my daughter all had the stomach flu.
2. I fell down the stairs and gave myself a massive butt bruise.
3. I was up until 2:30am last night with two sick kids.
Yes, this was my week.
Three reasons why two is a hard age:
1. Very little understanding of cause and effect
2. few words to express desires
3. too much stubborness to take a nap!
I’m exhausted and she’s still running!
Three things I learned while hanging out in the F5’n Ravelry thread club:
1. Loopy Groupies know how to entertain.
2. I can neglect my obsessive vacuuming and dusting habit for a couple of days and I won’t die. (This is good for the knitting…)
3. Wollmeise is an awful, terrible yarn with poor color selection and skimpy yardage.
Bought more almonds huh? Was that the thing you buy every time you go to the store? I can’t quite remember….old ya know =)
Three things I will never have… in this lifetime
STR sock club membership, too expensive
Wollmeiser, gave up before I started

Three sad things that happened to me this weekend.
1) On Friday night I had to vacate my car and run into a building because a tornado was coming down the street towards me
2) On Saturday afternoon I was temporarily trapped in a Barnes & Noble because of baseball sized hail and an approaching tornado (luckily, it changed direction before getting to us)
3) I lost my favorite knit hat, my Urchin. It was taken to Oz.
Three things I will do this week…

Your guess as to which one isn’t true! 😉

1. Rewrite a reasearch paper while panicking and eating alot.
2. Figure out my opinion on Illegal immigrant and write about it, alot.
3. knit until my fingers are sore.

3 things I’d like this year.
1. wollmeise.
2. a job (since mine is getting “outsourced” this year.
3. wollmeise. (I really want it. Almost had it. Couldn’t get my credit card info in fast enough. Have you ever considered just having that info on file? That would be make ordering so much faster..)
Three Things I Am Looking Forward to This Week:
1. Trying my new plan to be organized about cooking dinner (opposed to the old plan, which was be kind of lazy and eat a frozen pizza or Chex mix). My new plan involves a white board and a grocery list!
2. Cleaning my apartment (which sounds weird, but it’s kind of gross in here right now) so it will look presentable for when my friends come over on Saturday for a scrapbooking extravaganza.
3. Watching American Idol while knitting socks!
3 things I enjoy
1. Ravelry
2. Knitting
3. Filling out college forms for my daughter.
Everyone with a child old enough will know which one is not true eh?
3 Things I don’t like about listing 3 things:
1. 3 is never enough. I always have more than 3 things to do. More than 3 things I want to eat. More than 3 things I want to knit. More than 3 kids… Always, more than 3 loads of laundry to do.
2. 3 is an uneven number. I don’t like uneven numbers. I always said I had to have an even number of kids (that’s how we ended up with 4 kids). Obviously I have more than 3 issues too. I’d prefer to list at least 4 things. That’s a nice tidy number.
3. Bad things always happen in threes. So, surely that means that by only listing three things I’m bringing bad luck on me. Yet, again those issues are apparently coming up.
But seeing as you asked for us to list 3 things, I will be obedient and list 3 things that I want.
1. Wollmeise
2. A yarn room
3. 48 hour days, so that I have more time to knit.
(plus I want chocolate – always chocolate.)
Three things I’m going to do this week:
1. Start my first Sock Club socks.
2. Do all the ironing that needs to get done.
3. Stop laughing at DH for biting into the big bath kiss!!
Aw, that’s too easy to figure out……

Hung out and knit with some of my favorite people, including meeting some new favorite people, two Loopy Groupies from Arkansas.

my equally groovy Harmony dpns
having a stash of Wollmeise yarn!! ( really …. fess up ….. who actually does?)
My three things this coming week list:
1. Babysit my grandson :o)
2. Knit
3. Finish the purse and do a load of “felting”
Hmm, two things and a lie…

3) Having the flu
🙂 Hope you have a great vacation!
Three things I bought this week:
1. Sock yarn on the internet
2. Sock yarn by phone
3. Woolmeise 🙁
3 most delightful things that I got to do last week:
1. Go back to the Philippines to be the cord sponsor at my best friend’s wedding! (You’d think that with a 27+ hour plane journey I WOULD have gotten some knitting done, but… I’m so used to the flight that I just put my head down and didn’t wake up except to eat!)
2. Was forced by said friend into girliness via my first facial, pedicure, and manicure EVER (I’m still coping with the candy-apple red of my nails!)
3. Go ballroom dancing with my grandmother, the way I always do when I go home. (Sadly untrue–this is the FIRST time I’ve gone home that I haven’t gone ballroom dancing with her and her ladies.)
No shot at the Wollmeise for me, though–not only is it a 12-hour time difference, we don’t have Internet at home! *laugh*
I’m kind of glad we don’t, though… if I’d missed out on even a moment of time with my friends and family because I’d been F5ing, I’d have been KICKING myself! No yarn is worth that! ^_~
3 things I am looking forward to:
Spring Break (my husband is a teacher & I get to sleep in)
A yarn crawl w/my girlfriend on Friday
Laundry from 5 kids after I worked all weekend!!

2) Sleeping in every morning, Fri-Sun.

3 things I’m looking forward to on spring break:
1) There will be less snow and we’ll be that much closer to warmer weather by the end of it.

3) Maybe even finishing a whole pair of socks!
They say trouble comes in 3’s-not for me.
