Loopy Garden Camp July Challenge – The Butterfly Garden
It’s time to announce July’s Challenge for Loopy Garden Camp already! June goes by so very quickly, and we like to give you plenty of time to get your July projects planned and ready to go. I hope your June Flower Garden projects are growing right along, though, and that the introduction of July’s theme isn’t TOO distracting! July’s Challenge? Join us in the Butterfly Garden!
Honestly, I feel like this is a bit of a cheat – as any left over flower garden ideas or June projects you’ve seen from fellow campers can probably slot right in here (have you ever heard of a butterfly garden without flowers?!?). It does open up opportunities for beautiful colors and butterfly specific themes too, though! Wings and caterpillars, antennae and probosces. . . all fair game as inspiration this month. Pick a pattern, yarn, or designer that reads Butterfly Garden for you, and go with it!
No clue what we’re talking about? Check out the full Cam Loopy, Loopy Garden Camp description on last month’s blog post HERE. In a nutshell, it’s a fun virtual summer program that keeps you motivated to knit or crochet by offering up fun challenges and rewards for completing projects.
Loopy Butterfly Garden Basics
- We offer a 10% discount on yarn purchased for your July project during Camp Week. Leave an order note letting us know which yarn is for Camp – we will not apply a discount if we do not see an order note (or an email requesting it if you happen to miss leaving a note in your ordering excitement). The discount will be applied on our end after your order comes through. July’s Camp Week runs June 9-16, 2026. For free shipping in the continental U.S., please make sure your discount won’t take you below the $125 level required for free shipping. Please Note – we are not able to further discount items already on sale.
- Yarn for your July project must be purchased from The Loopy Ewe on June 9, 2026 or later
- Your project should not be started before July 1st, 2026, and must be completed by July 31th, 2026 (*you CAN swatch prior to camp start date, just not the actual project)
- You must provide a photo of your completed project to be eligible for rewards. Email your photo along with your supporting information to support@theloopyewe.com by midnight, August 1, 2026. The email must also provide the following information. If this information is not provided, your entry will not be eligible for rewards:
- Pattern & Designer used.
- Yarn used (brand and base) and yardage used – yardage is for yarn held singly (if held double, only half the yardage used will count)
- An explanation of how your project fits with July’s theme. We love stories here, so please tell us!
- If available, we’d love a link to your Ravelry (or other) project page! Please DO NOT just send us a link to your Ravelry page. It takes a tremendous amount of work to track everyone, and if you can just put your information in an email to us that helps a lot.
