Favorite Yarn Colors

It’s Friday – Happy Weekend! Most Fridays I work from home. Sometimes I’m ordering for the shop, sometimes I’m working on newsletters or blog posts, sometimes I’m working on shop samples. Most Fridays involve a Mocha from Ziggi’s, which is just 5 minutes down the road from me. They make their Mocha with chocolate milk. So good.

Today, I’m thinking about favorite yarn colors. We had decided we wanted to paint a wall in our kitchen and a wall in our family room with a darker color. I had been pinning photos on Pinterest in dark teals that I love. As I was working on my brioche cowl last month, I realized that our new paint color matches one of my favorite Malabrigo colors – Teal Feather. What do you think?

On my kitchen wall – little treasures collected from my trips to Germany, plus rolling pins from my grandmothers. I love how it shows up on the teal. (Think we need to switch out the outlets for black, though.) Cowl: Training Wheels. Yarn: Malabrigo Rios in Teal Feather and Camaleon.

Have you ever knit up a yarn and decided you wanted it on your walls?

What favorite yarn color would you pick for a wall in your house?

  1. I love that teal!
But I love colours like stormy blue for walls. Although as a renter, it’s all white and I like that too because it highlights the art

  2. Teal color is beautiful but I am absolutely in love with that “Giant heart”!

    Have a great weekend Sheri….

  3. I have a dark grape wall in my living room. When we painted it some years ago, we also painted a prominent heater vent on that wall with the same paint. The metal vent cover took the paint a tad darker than the wall and it looks great. And yes that is a favorite shade of yarn too.
