Aegean Tweed, Loopy Survey & More!

We have two new yarn bases today (gorgeous new Aegean Tweed and Alpaca Pure), a returning yarn base, a “new” (old) technique to share, and a chance for you to win a $100 Loopy Gift Certificate. Are you ready?

New on the website today:

Cascade’s New Aegean Tweed – Made with 100% organic wool, this new base comes in a variety of beautiful colors. The non-superwash property of this wool gives your knitted items great stitch definition.
Sport weight, 328 yards to the ball, hand wash and lay flat to dry.

Aegean Tweed The Loopy Ewe

Cascade Eco Alpaca – We brought back one of my all time favorites! (Thanks to all of you who have been asking for alpaca yarn, lately.) I love the feel of knitting with and wearing alpaca. It’s warm and luscious and knits up beautifully. The Eco Alpaca comes in all of the natural alpaca colors.
Worsted weight, 220 yards to the skein, hand wash and lay flat to dry. 10 colors.

Cascade Pure Alpaca – The Pure line is the dyed version of the Eco Alpaca.
Worsted weight, 220 yards to the skein, hand wash and lay flat to dry. 18 colors.

Plus we added in new colors of Cascade Hampton, Ultra Pima Paints, Superwash Sport, Heritage Solids, Heritage Silk, and 220.

Lastly, the Super Snips are back! So great for tucking into each of your project bags.

Our last Yarn Update included:

Cascade El Cielo, Malabrigo’s new Susurro, The Fibre Co Canopy Fingering and Luma, and our June Camp Exclusive from Dream in Color – Absolute Magnitude in Smooshy with Cashmere (now sold out) and City.

A cool grafting method, to use in place of the Kitchener Stitch. This one seems easier to remember, for me.

The Loopy Ewe Survey

You can submit it totally anonymously, or you can add your email address for a chance to win one of FOUR $100 Loopy Gift Certificates that we are drawing for.

  1. Will have to try eco alpaca- I love eco duo- this one is sure to be as cozy (and the cat will love it too!)

  2. I really enjoyed the video of the Finchley grafting technique. I do OK with the Kitchener, but it is cool to see a completely different way to get the same result, and the instructions are very clear. Thanks!
