Hue Loco Phyllis and MCN Vintage!

Gorgeous yarn up today! (Well – we have gorgeous yarn go up every week. 🙂 But I know you love Hue Loco because of the beautiful colors. We have a fresh batch for you today.) Just up:

Hue Loco Phyllis Sock A fresh re-stock (and new fall colors) from Nicole and her team. It’s icing on the cake that they dye these beauties right here in Colorado. Phyllis is a fingering weight yarn with 75% Superwash Merino and 25% Nylon, and 460 yards in the skein.

Hue Loco MCN Vintage
If you ordered our special anniversary colorway this past summer, you’ve already experienced this beautiful yarn. Since those sold out in a blink, we ordered new colors for you on this base!

We’ve also re-stocked Universal Yarn’s Bamboo Pop
(which we re-stocked a week ago, but more colors made their way in.) This yarn is a sport weight yarn that is 50% Bamboo and 50% Cotton. If you’re wondering what yarn would be good for kids clothes and blankets. Comfortable for fall/spring/summer sweaters. Perfect for those allergic to wool. This is it. It comes in solid colors and multi colors and feels great to knit with and wear.

All of the needles have been re-stocked as well
ChiaoGoo, Knitter’s Pride Dream, and Knitter’s Pride Zings.

Our last Yarn Update included: Dream in Color Pop Up Skein Club and Sock It Club colors, Malabrigo Rios (new colors), tape measures, some new Atenti bags, Cascade re-stocks, Universal Cotton Supreme and Bamboo Pop.

Thank you for taking a look at the new things. Let us know if we can send you a Loopy Box of Fun this week!

  1. Every time I order, I look forward to my Loopy Box of Fun (BOF) and meet the mail carrier at the curb (whenever I can!). With the impeccable packing of the order and fast shipping I receive the BOF 2 days after I order. It is a gift I give myself as often as possible.

You and your staff do a very fine job of getting my colorful selections to me faster than I can knit!

  2. Right now I’m working on some leg warmers no pattern really. But next I’m going to start on some hats maybe Wurm or a slouchy hat.

  3. Currently working on the Ophelia Wrap in Deepest Night, my prize yarn from Camp Loopy 2016. Love the denim blues with the lace!

This is also my first project for Knights of the Loopy Table. Such a cool idea!

  4. I’m working on Belmont by Gudrun J, and my own mitten design. Oh, and a hue shift blanket, and a cowl, oh and that MKAL shawl…. what? Don’t we all have multiple things going??

  5. Currently I am between patterns. I just finished a pair of Maine Morning Mitts for my sister (found on Ravelry). I wound some Madeline Tosh yarn on my George Sichterman swift. It worked wonderfully by the way. I am going to turn it into mittens for my mom using Ann Budd’s Handy Knitter’s Guide to Patterns. Also, on the needles is a sweater I am designing using various guide books and a beautiful cable pattern I found on Pinterest. This is on hold while I knit up my Christmas gifts, the afore mentioned mitts and mittens.

  6. These are such wonderful books! Thank you for offering them to us.

I’m working on Joji Locatelli’s A Day to Remember, since I’m traveling. It’s a pattern I love and the yarn, Blue Moon Fibers Marine Silk Lace, is my absolute favorite lace yarn. So soft and drapey!

  7. Unfortunately nothing! I had surgery on my left hand last week and no knitting for a while–just dreaming. My queue is getting longer….

  8. I can’t tell you the pattern because its a secret test knit. But it is a cardigan which has cables! I love cables!

  9. I’m working on a Corvus doubleknit scarf. I’m a little more than halfway, and am just about ready to move on to the next project.

  10. I’m working on a baby blanket “Dolphins”. It was supposed to be a Camp Loopy project two years ago, but thank goodness it got postponed because it’s not going to make yardage.. might be my smallest baby blanket ever! (my friends tell me I might be a baby blanket overachiever)

I also started tossing the stash this weekend, emptying out old project bags, organizing needles, corralling leftover yarn balls, etc. I have 8 WiPs pulled out so far, plus 12 or so projects planned! I need a sabbatical to get through all this knitting!

  11. I’m making socks for my friend’s daughters, not really using a pattern, for these I took measurements and I’m winging it!

  12. I’m between projects right now. I haven’t got a pattern, let alone a catagory of patterns, in mind. But I have been swatching just like a real, all-growed-up knitter. In the past 10 days or so, I’ve tried 18 yarns from stash, even trying 2 or 3 needle sizes for some, and holding double strands for others.. All of them had been screaming to be used, but none of them even whispered a hint of what they’d like to be. I may have to try a new method. Blindfold myself, grab some yarn, cast on and start knitting. After a couple hours I’ll peek and see what I’m doing,

  13. I am on my forth Fan and Feather shawl and my third using Malabrigo Lace. This one is a gift for a friend. Lovely pattern and a fast knit in lace!

  14. Don’t you mean “which patterns”??? How about Lil’ Rosebud, Practically, Impunity, Katniss, and Barb’s Koigu Ruffle just for starters? I may be a bit overstretched…

  15. What a fantastic update. Love all the new colors. I’m working on another “Mae”. At this rate, all the girls in family will have one under the Christmas tree. That book on Power Cables looks interesting.

  16. Hi there! I’m currently working on the “Nature’s Palette” blanket by Purl Soho. It was a gift from my husband.
I just finished a hat with the Malabrigo Rios that I ordered from The Loopy Ewe, and plan to do another one for a friend, as well as a scarf to go with it. I love, love, love ordering from you!

  17. I’m working on the “Hole-Hearted” scarf with the Loopy Ewe Hues — Pinks (my daughter’s favorite color)
