Hue Loco, Uncommon Thread, Dream in Color and More!

Happy Monday! It’s always a happy day around here when we add in new yarn colors (and Hue Loco) for you. Today we added in:

Another new indie dyer for us – Hue Loco! Nicole and her team do beautiful work in the dye studio. A bonus for us – her workshop is about 10 minutes from my house so I get to pick our order up in person. We are happy to add this Colorado-dyed line to our indie dyer lineup here at The Loopy Ewe. We have started with her Hue Loco Phyllis Sock base this time around.

The Uncommon Thread
We’ve re-stocked our Uncommon Thread, as well as added in new colors in DK. We always keep the different bases listed separately for you, so you can go right to what you’re looking for and see your options. You can go to the Uncommon link and click on any of the yarn base photos to see the color options in the base you want. We carry Everyday Singles, Posh Fingering, DK, and Lush Worsted. Shown here in DK.

Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere –
We love knitting with this luscious yarn. I’m currently working on an Ashburn out of Jocelyn, Joshua Tree and Tucson. (Need two or three colors for a project? Pick a multi-color you like, then pick one or two solids to match. Not sure what matches? Leave us an order note and we’re always happy to make sure the yarns you have chosen will work well together!) Did you see the new Casapinka sweater (Acoma) that came out last week? I listed some options on our Instagram page. Of course the original design in Jocelyn, Black Pearl and Whetstone is also a gorgeous combo and we have all of those color in stock.

Dream in Color Sock-It Club
This club will run July through November and there will be a special color on a sock yarn base each month. (Sometimes Veronica just likes to play in the colors, I think. She comes up with some fun beauties for the Sock-It and Pop Up skein colors.) Quantities are limited, so get them when you see them!

Our last Yarn Update included: Dream in Color City, Knerd String Fingering and Sport, and Cavallini re-stocks.

Have fun shopping through the new things and we’ll get your orders right out!

Sheri and The Loopy Ewe Crew

  1. DH and I are leaving Lubbock, TX on Saturday for a two-day drive to the Black Hills area of South Dakota. We are staying in Fort Collins going up and returning home just so I’ll have an opportunity to visit The Loopy Ewe in person – maybe more than once. I’m so excited!

Also, glad to know you have yarn from a local dyer. When we travel, I like to take home souvenir yarns. It doesn’t have to be “local” but that is always a nice bonus!

    1. So happy you are able to include us in your travels, Bonnie! I totally understand about souvenir yarn. That’s always fun to pick out. The other local dyer (besides Hue Loco) is Knerd String, who dyes out of Castle Rock, just south of Denver. We have their line in Fingering and Sport. Safe travels and we’ll see you soon!
