Monday Update and July Camp Loopy Challenge!

It has been a crazy day around here. And we don’t usually do a Monday Update the same time we start our Camp Loopy Store Week, but this time we’re doing just that. First the new things that just went up. We added in a lot! But I’m trying to keep this email shorter, so I’ll just give you the links.

Added to the website today:

Spud and Chloe Sweater, Spud and Chloe Outer, Blue Sky Worsted Cotton, Blue Sky Woolstok, Universal Cotton Supreme, Universal Bamboo Pop, Cascade 200, The Uncommon Thread Lush Worsted, The Uncommon Thread Posh Fingering, The Uncommon Thread Everyday Singles, and The Uncommon Thread Merino DK, and Whimsical Wood’s Pixie Toe Socks in The Sound of Music colors!

Camp Loopy July Challenge for Knitters/Crocheters:

Those cowboys and cowgirls faced many challenges in the Wild Wild West. Lasso up a pattern that will be a challenge for you in some way during the month of July. A few examples would include: a new technique, mixing different brands of color into one project, a new-to-you designer, a new shape or type of project, your own design elements added in to change something, etc. As always, we want to leave this open ended enough for you to find something fun to work on, but also provide a challenge for you to work with.

To earn your Camp Loopy points for this project:

– you can pick your own yardage: 400, 600, 800, or 1000+ yards, singly knit.*

– materials for your July project must be purchased June 11 or later.

– Camp Store Week for this project is June 11 – 18. You will receive a 15% discount on the yarn for one project if you leave us an order note, letting us know you are ordering for your July Camp project. We will add the discount when your order comes through. If you’re going for free shipping in the U.S., make sure the discount won’t take you below $100 when applied.

– Your July project needs to be knit and completely finished between July 1 and July 31. No early starts!

– You must upload a photo to our Loopy Camp Gallery, showing your entire July completed project by August 1. In the order notes on the upload, please tell us which yardage category you were in with that project. (400, 600, 800, 1000+ yds.).

Your completed projects earn Loopy Reward Store Points (one project per month)! Check this blog post for the details on the point values you can earn.

  1. Is the two-sided cowboy finger puppet the photo op? How do we tag you? Where do we post the picture? Must have too much yarn fluff in my brain to figure this out. Help!

    1. Yes – the cowboy photo op! You can post on Instagram or Ravelry and tag us with #camploopy and/or #theloopyewe.

    1. Hi Joann – log into your Loopy Ewe account and there is a link to upload photos (to our photo galleries) on your account page.
