Loopy Legends, Fibre Company, and Universal

Happy Monday to you! Did you have a good weekend? Are you feeling like the weeks just fly by this year? It’s going to be April soon. Crazy. Fortunately, we have some pretty yarn to help you celebrate Spring! Just up, we added in:

2016 Loopy Legends – This year we had Veronica at Dream in Color dye up our Loopy Legends on oversized skeins of Smooshy, and the colors are just stunning. I think you will find several that are must-haves for yourself! We have 26 to choose from. For those of you who these are named after – if you have ordered in the past few days, we’ve added your free skein to your order. For the rest of you, we will ship it with your next order. (How do you become a Loopy Legend? It’s part of our Loopy Rewards program. We have the colors dyed up by the end of the first quarter of the following year, so this batch celebrates some of our 2016 Legends.) Each skein in this batch is 600 yards in 100% Superwash Merino. (Shout out to our Thursday Night Loopy Knit Nighters who assured me last week that they do like it when I add pattern ideas, and they do click through!) Patterns ideas: Early Morning Rain, Zanbonia, Stormy Sky Shawl, Imagine When, and Artesian.

The Fibre Company Luma – This new yarn base for Spring is 50% Wool, 25% Cotton, 15% Linen and 10% silk. A DK weight that is great for clothes that can be layered for those spring and summer days that start off cool in the morning, get warm by the afternoon, and then revert back to cool in the evenings. Pattern ideas: Stone Point, Bennett Creek, Laveer Kerchief, The Rain Outside, and Sunshine Coast.

The Fibre Company Road to China Light – A luxurious sport weight yarn that is 65% Baby Alpaca, 15% Silk, 10% Camel and 10% Cashmere. (Doesn’t that sound awesome?) Use it for things that you can keep next to your skin – sweaters, hats, mittens, gloves, cowls, scarves, etc. Pattern ideas: 3 Color Cashmere Cowl, Susie Rogers’ Reading Mitts and Cream and Sugar Cowl.

The Fibre Company Cumbria – Inspired by England’s northwest region, this yarn is a blend of brown wool from English masham sheep, fine South American merino wool, and Argentine mohair. Worsted weight with 238 yards in the skein. Pattern ideas: Timber Bay, Brenna, and Clawthorpe.

The Fibre Company Canopy Worsted – A light 3-ply worsted that combines baby alpaca (50%) with merino wool (30%) and bamboo (20%), making it a warm choice for sweaters and winter wear, with a bit of sheen from the bamboo. Pattern ideas: Springtime Bandit, Give a Hoot, and Oscilloscope Shawl.

The Fibre Company Canopy Fingering – The same base makeup as the Canopy, but in a fingering weight option. You will love the feel of the Canopy bases. Pattern ideas: Veyla, Springtime in Philadelphia, and Lucille.

The Fibre Company Tundra – This Bulky base provides quick, warm knitting in gorgeous colors. It is 60% Baby Alpaca, 30% Merino Wool and 10% Sillk and it is one of those yarns that you will pick up and not want to put down. Pattern ideas: Permafrost, Shawl Collared Cowl, and Tallin.

Universal Cotton Supreme – My favorite 100% cotton yarn, because it’s so soft and wonderful to work with! Great for spring and summer sweaters, as well as baby items (easy care). We carry it in 45 colors for you. Pattern ideas: Summer Love Wrap, Leafy Washcloth, and Chevron Baby Blanket.

Universal Bamboo Pop – Another fun yarn for spring and summer, this sport weight yarn is 50% Bamboo and 50% Cotton, so it’s cool to wear and easy to care for. We carry it in over 30 colors. Pattern ideas: Gypsy, Spring Garden Tee, and Staggered Shawl.

We also added the extra kits from our February Warm Woolies Club, so get those while they last! (It includes a gorgeous skein of Blue Moon Fiber Arts Featherlight in our exclusive Heart Strings, and our favorite little felted ball coaster for your warm mug of coffee, tea or cocoa.)

Our last Yarn Update included: Our March Blue Moon Exclusive, JulieSpins MCN 180 Aran, Blue Sky Fibers Extra, Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok, Blue Sky Fibers Worsted Cotton, Malabrigo Caracol, Spud and Chloe Fine, Spud and Chloe Outer, and Spud and Chloe Sweater.

Have fun shopping and we’ll get your orders right out!
