Hump Day Inspiration: January Monthly Mixer

We started a new program this year called the Monthly Mixer! We’ve received photos of beautiful projects and wanted to show them to you today. When you’ve finished your Monthly Mixer project, be sure to upload it to our gallery.

January’s Assignment: Pick a pattern, yarn base, yarn colorway, or fabric line that begins with a P. You can make anything you’d like out of any weight of yarn or any size of fabric.

February’s Assignment: Pick the yarn or pattern or fabric that has spent the shortest amount of time on your “must make/use this someday” list. Did you add something to your Loopy Wish List last week? Did you favorite a pattern on Ravelry recently?

With the Monthly Mixers there are no deadlines. You can use stash yarn/fabric (carried here at The Loopy Ewe) or pop over to the website and buy yourself something new. We’ll be announcing the March Assignment soon! (How is it getting to be March already??).

  1. Thank you for including my January Monthly Mixer project! I tried to tell my husband and sons that I was now famous, but not being knitters, they just didn’t get it. I’m loving TLE’s Monthly Mixers, finishing my Feb. project and looking forward to March!

  2. Awww, how cool. thx. It was an absolute joy working with those fabrics. Love the Essential Stacks. I’m not a batik person, but I am seriously tempted by the ones you have in stock at the moment. February is turning out just as F.U.N. Thx TLE.

  3. What a nice surprise to see my Pretty Basic on the Hump Day Inspiration display! I loved using that skein of Copper Penny which has been sitting in my Mad Tosh bin for a couple of years. It was perfect for the pattern with all the lovely shadings throughout the skein. The Monthly Mixer is a wonderful idea for those who have wildly fluctuating amounts of time available. Had to skip February, but will be back in the fray soon.

  4. Awwww! So kind of you to include my mitts. I have really been enjoying the monthly mixers. It’s a great way to dip into my TLE stash for low key project making.
