Hump Day Inspiration: Shawls

Fall is perfect for shawl weather. It gets a little cooler and a shawl helps keep you warm. Plus they’re beautiful so it’s a win-win!

What shawls/cowls/scarves are you wearing or working on this fall?

~Sheri and the Loopy Elves

  1. In Tucson, I take a shawl with me to the movie theater and restaurants. These places tend to over-air condition and a shawl is perfect to keep the cold air off your shoulders and neck.

  2. I am addicted to knitting shawls! I have so many that they fill an entire chest of drawers! I try to wear one almost every day, using them as Ann does, in chilly restaurants and theaters even in the summer here in Illinois or when we visit Florida! I love having the right shawl for most every outfit! It’s a bit like choosing the right jewelry to go with outfits, but I get the joy of knitting too!

  3. All the shawls are gorgeous.

    Current shawl project: Swoop

I’m wearing Enchantment today, wore Levata yesterday, and will undoubtedly be pulling another shawl or cowl from my wardrobe. I love fall! Just hate to think of the next season!

  4. I just cast on for a Hitchhiker, which I’m knitting in a light worsted weight yarn. A Meridian shawl is having a time out right now because I goofed up a few rows and also forgot which row I was on, so I’ll need to rip back to the start of the second color and try again.

  5. I am going through a shawl phase, they are perfect to add a layer and look so stylish too.
The one I wear the most is “Nurmilintu” in The Loopy Seasonings Early Bird. I am currently working on “Trillixagon Shawl” with the “Tardis Variation Border” in Meadowcroft Dyeworks, Rockshelter, Sock in Storm and Fiberstory, Fave in Stormy.

  6. I’m working on finishing up my Color Affection, though I goofed on the counts and I’m taking out the third color. 😛
