Happy Monday to you. It’s a beautiful sunny day here, only made better by the fact that we have gorgeous yarn just up in today’s Monday Update for you! We just added in:
Shalimar Breathless DK – Ahh, Breathless. Always a favorite of mine. This Dk weight yarn is 75% Superwash Merino, 15% Cashmere and 10% Silk. (See why it’s a favorite?) You’ll love working with it and you’ll love wearing it, whether used for sweaters, shawls, socks, cowls, or scarves. Shown below in Glacier and Emerald Isle.
Stonehedge Fiber Shepherd’s Wool – This worsted weight yarn continues to be very popular for sweaters, vests and tanks. The colors knit up beautifully and each skein comes with 250 yards of 100% wool. This is not a superwash, so be sure to hand wash and lay flat to dry. (Unless you’re trying to felt it. It also felts beautifully.) Shown below in Purple and Frosty Blue.
Meadowcroft Dyeworks Rockshelter Sock – A new indie dyer for us! Dave and Will (a father/son team) work their dye-magic in Pennsylvania. You will enjoy the amazing colors they come up with, which are done by dyeing in several different layers for each colorway. Shown below, a pair of socks knit up by Loopy friend Sheryl in the Four Twenty colorway. I’ll share the scarf that I knit up with that same color later. The colors are so fun, and it’s hard to stop at just one or two. (I know this because I meant to order 25 colors, which is typical for a first-time indie dyer to us, and I went over 40 ….) Shown below in Four Twenty (the socks) and Rembrandt’s Prodigal Son.
Universal’s Bamboo Pop – A sport weight yarn that is 50% Bamboo and 50% Cotton. Soft, comfortable and wonderful to knit with and wear. You get 292 yards to the skein, and it is machine wash and machine dry. We’ve had a lot of people using this for their own summer tanks and sweaters, as well as baby and kid clothes. It comes in more than 30 colors, including solids and multi-colors. Shown below in Bright Spot and Clover.
Universal’s Cotton Supreme – A soft and wonderful 100% cotton worsted weight in more than 45 solid colors. A go-to for summer sweaters and tanks, easy-care kids clothes and blankets, summer shawls, and more. Shown below in Hot Pink and Aqua.
Universal’s Cotton Supreme Batik – A 100% Cotton in a worsted weight, dyed up in a batik-looking set that stripes as you knit. Let the yarn do the colorwork in kids clothes, spring and summer sweaters, and summer blankets. Shown below in Farmer’s Market and Watermelon Patch.
Universal’s Cotton Supreme Splash – A fun 100% Cotton in a worsted weight, dyed up in a tie-dye-looking splash. With 180 yards to the skein, this yarn has been popular for kids clothes, spring and summer sweaters, and summer blankets. Shown below in Beach and Plum Blanket.
Knitting Notions re-stocked – Sirka Counters and Bento Boxes, blocking sets, stitch holders, darning needles, and more.
HiyaHiya Needles (steel sharps, bamboo, DPN’s and Interchangeables) and Knitter’s Pride Needles (Dreamz and Karbonz, circulars, DPN’s, needle sets and more) re-stocked.
Have fun picking out some new yarn and supplies, and we’ll get your orders packed up and shipped right off. We always love seeing what you pick out!
