Hand Maiden, JulieSpins, Bungalow 360 and More!

Happy Monday! (Still trying to wake up, after setting the clocks forward this weekend? Ugh. Not my favorite weekend of the year. Ever. So a little “I made it through Clocks-Forward-Monday” yarn reward might just be in order for you, don’t you think?) We added plenty of new things to choose from today. Just up, you’ll find:

Hand Maiden Casbah Silk Fine – Another exclusive base for us (like last week’s Jilly with Cashmere), this Casbah Silk in the fingering weight was spun for our Giftables Club last fall and we’ve taken the rest of it in these 18 beautiful colors! We hope they might add this to their lineup at some point, but right now this is it. The base is 75% merino wool, 15% silk and 10% cashmere, with 341 yards to the skein. It knits up beautifully for scarves, shawls, cowls, fingerless mitts and socks. Pattern suggestions: Ishbel, JeckLacy Baktus, Yvaine, Simple Things, and Charade. Shown below in Blomidon and Paris.

JulieSpins Lace – A 100% superwash merino laceweight that comes with 960 yards in the skein, in those amazing Julie-colors! I haven’t knit with a lot of laceweight, but I’m stashing this for those times when the perfect pattern comes up (like the Nuvem, which is done in laceweight and which I love!). The great thing about scarves, wraps and shawls out of laceweight is that they’re incredibly lightweight, but oh so warm. Pattern suggestions: Viajante, Horai, Muji Painting, Anthemion Wrap, Rill Scarf, and Tess. Shown below in Cara Cara and Capri.

Bungalow 360 Bags – These bags always make us smile! We’ve added in the two new designs (Hibiscus Flowers and Pufferfish), as well as additional prints in Pocket Bags, Travel Bags and Messenger Bags. We also have the Satchel style bag for a limited time, since they have discontinued this style. This is my favorite project bag for socks or shawls in progress. I stocked up in the prints they had left, so get them while you can! Shown below in Pufferfish Pocket Bag and Hedgehog Satchel Bag.

Appalachian Baby Kits – These kits are so sweet. The sport weight yarn is organic cotton, grown and milled in the U.S. and dyed using Earth-friendly, low impact dyes and processes. Each kit comes with the pattern and the yarn to knit the project. If you have any babies in your life, these will surely keep them warm and cozy! We also have the yarn available for individual purchase. Shown below in the Lamb’s Ear Cardigan and the Irish Cable Stroller Blanket.

Born to Knit Patterns – Many of you have been asking us to re-stock Johanne’s wonderful colorwork patterns, and now we have them available for you in pdf form. Your pattern will be sent via email when we process your order. (We do still have a few of her patterns available in paper copies. The pattern description will tell you if you are buying a paper copy or a pdf copy.) Shown below in the Elise Mitten and Victoria Hat.
