It’s a cold and blustery day here in Fort Collins. There is snow falling! Fortunately, it’s not sticking and should be over soon. Despite the weather (which makes us all want to stay home and knit), we have the Monday Update ready for you. Today we added in:
Fiberstory Core DK – We sure love Sarah’s dying, which is always amazing. This DK weight yarn is 100% Superwash Merino and is great for hats, scarves, shawls, wraps and sweaters. Need some pattern suggestions? Try: The Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief, Susie Roger’s Reading Mitts, Lush, Violet Waffles, Arbutus, and Stockholm Scarf. Shown here in Koi Pond and Milo.
Wonderland Yarns Mini Skein Packs – Gradient Kits are fun to use with shawls, wraps and scarves. Long items where you get a chance to see the colors shifting! Each pack comes with 5 mini skeins of 100% Superwash Merino and a total of 640 yards. Pattern ideas: Ombre Infinity, Gradient, Wavebird, Spectra, Theodora, and Aranami Shawl. Shown here in Dormouse and TumTum Tree.
Swans Island Lace – soft and lightweight, this yarn is dyed up on a 50% Merino Wool, 50% Tussah Silk base. Each skein has 530 yards and you’ll like it for wraps, shawls, scarves and sweaters. Pattern ideas: Juliette Scarf, Out of Darkness, Sunbleached, Bias Scarf, and Spring Kerchief. Shown here in Iris and Slate.
Swans Island Fingering – dyed on a 100% Organic Merino Wool base, these large skeins come with 525 yards which make them great for larger shawls, scarves, sweaters and more. Pattern ideas: Panoramic Stole, Axis Shawl, Decouverte, Hitofude, and Biscuit. Shown here in Winterberry and Tarragon.
Swans Island Worsted – dyed on 100% Organic Merino Wool, these worsted weight yarn comes with 250 yards in the skein. It knits up beautifully for hats, sweaters, vests, heavier wraps, and more. Pattern Ideas: Olivia Cowl, Audrey Cardigan, Big Herringbone Cowl, Ease, and Bray Cap. Shown here in Sky Blue and Bittersweet.
Dream in Color’s November Dream Club – this month’s yarn is done up on their Everlasting DK base in an oversized skein. Your yarn purchase includes a copy of Connie Chang Chinchio’s Sachy Hats & Mitts, which would make a great gift for someone this season.
Mitten and Sock Blocker Keychains – These are fun to collect on the handles of your project bags (using leftover sock yarn), clipped on to your purse or keys, or decorating a package for a fellow knitter or special person. Best of all, each one can be knit up in different colors. No knitted pairs necessary!
Loopy Cakes – We have a lot of fun with our Loopy Cakes! Buying a set of these is like buying a new set of paints, with pretty colors just calling to be used. They’re fun for colorwork, but also great for cowls (this is my favorite), hats (I had fun knitting this one), gloves (each finger a different color?), and lots more. Ideas: Westport Wrap, West Desert Hood, Mosaic Cowl (calls for worsted, but I’d love that in a lighter weight version), Endless Rainbow, and Whitman Sampler. Shown here in Rainbow and Steampunk.
Loopy Soap – Not only is it fun to see Loopy looking out from the bar of soap (complete with his red socks), but it’s also a really good (and big) bar! We have these custom done by the Milagros Soap Company here in Brighton, Colorado. Each bar is 100% pure, made with the finest natural vegetable oils. No detergents, sulfates, alcohol or sugar solutions. Subtly scented with a light almond/cherry scent, each bar is 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 x 3/4″.
Have fun picking out some new things and we’ll get your orders pulled and packed right up. (And I promise we won’t add any of our Colorado snowflakes to your Box of Fun. Unless you’d like some?)
Sheri and The Loopy Ewe Crew
Oh no…you are too kind! Please don’t feel you have to send any snowflakes this way…;)
I really like the soap. I was wondering what the fragrance was. It is a light scent and the soap is not drying on my skin.
Hi! No thanks on the snow! We had our first taste here in dairyland on Halloween day! Along with rain, wind and COLD! I love the 80’s Loopy cakes! Fun and happy colors! I remember the 80’s well…. :).
Sheri, I went on to the site to place my order and first saw that the red totes were there and then went back on a bit later and found that they weren’t there. They were on the out of stock page- so fast?! Do you think you will get any more in?! I think I am going to place my yarn order anyway because I need the red now. Way cute soaps!!!
