Our New Project Planner, Fall Giftables, & CONTEST 5!

Project-Planner-The-Loopy-Ewe1We have a new feature on the website for you! This has been in the works for quite some time, and it’s a lot of fun to work with, as well as being really handy for planning future projects. With our new Project Planner you can:

– see how different yarn or fabric colors work together
– see how prices, weights, gauges compare
– get a cost for the project – keep track of multiple projects
– share your planner page link with a friend to get an opinion (or to inspire them to knit along with you!)
Project-Planner-The-Loopy-Ewe3– leave notes for yourself (Which pattern? Which color for which section? Any other thoughts?)
– indicate how many skeins are needed of each color
– easily transfer it over to your shopping cart to purchase
– or save it for later while you think it over or start a new planning page for a different project

You’ll always find your saved Project Plans on your Loopy account page, once you’ve logged in.

Project-Planner-The-Loopy-Ewe5On each individual product page on our website, you’ll see the “Add to Wishlist” link (which we’ve always had) and now a new “Add to Project Planner” link below that. I have been busy planning some of my Christmas gift knitting projects, as well as a couple of other knitting projects and some quilts that I want to do. (I may be having too much fun with this feature.) You can click on the photo to enlarge it and see what I’m working on. I also realized that having multiple projects planned lets me see if I have too much of the same color going on. (I’m talking about you, Teal!) Read about our new Project Planner here, and then try it out!

We are ready for Fall Giftables signups, and the first kit is shipping the third week in September! Remember – by taking a spot, you’re committing to purchasing all three kits in the Club. To secure your spot, we’re having you pre-pay for the first month. (Again, this will ship out to you around the third week in September.) We’ll invoice you in mid October and mid November for the other two kits. You also have the option of paying for all three months (September, October, November) right off the bat, if you’d prefer. (If you signed up for your last Giftables Club and dropped out midway through, you will need to prepay for all three months to reserve a spot this time.) We have pretty yarn, fun accessories, and beautiful patterns all lined up for you this fall, and look forward to shipping them out to you!

  1. Since the weather here in Wisconsin was very pleasant today, my husband and I biked downtown and ate lunch at a café overlooking the lake. It was great to be out and about.

  2. We’ll, until I read more about the Project Planner, the best thing about today is getting off work so I have time to read the blog post! (It’s a busy time of year!)

  3. My favorite thing for today, we met our granddaughter’s pre-k teacher. She starts school next week.
My favorite thing for this evening, I’m going to sit and knit for a while. 🙂

  4. My favorite thing today has been when my husband took the dog and the kids and went to the dog park. That is one full hour of just nice and quite sit and knit without guilt. They are happy to be outside in this glorious weather. I am happy to have a few minutes alone. Thanks for the great contests. Happy Anniversary Loopy Ewe!

  5. My most favorite thing of the day so far is watching a short video of my first grandson who is 7 days old today! Too sweet! Wish I could hold him everyday,

  6. My favorite thing about today was getting back home to Loveland after a wonderful family reunion at the YMCA camp in Estes Park.

  7. I had an interesting day…while I was in the garden collecting tomatoes and peppers my husband came out to tell me that he was leaving. Out of habit he then locked the door and locked me out. I got to hang outside for an hour and played the guilt card for a dinner out. From now on I’ll have to remind him not to lock me out!

  8. My presentation to the students in the Honors program went well and I didn’t embarrass myself one bit! Considering I’ve been dreading this presentation for two weeks, that has to be the best part of my day.

  9. My favorite thing is that today is almost over. My hubby is out of town, it is the first week of my kids school, and we are all so tired and crabby. Can’t wait for bedtime!

  10. It was my day off. I spent the day with my youngest child (16), shopping, walking through the park & working on his first knitting project!

  11. My favorite thing about every day is my husband and my sons! But in particular today was a nice shower and cooler weather.

  12. It is Wednesday and knitting with my group at the Library Café. We needed 3 tables today. Lots of fun and laughter with some knitting thrown in. And one of our lucky knitters is off to Loopy Ewe Fall Fling soon.

  13. Oh what a wonderfully easy question! Definitely going out for sushi with a good friend for lunch today. We’ve been planning it for months and it lived up to expectations perfectly!

  14. I was checking on my account today and saw the Project Planner, and thought “hmmmm. I don’t remember this, but it is cool!”

Best thing about today is that all the major projects I had this week are almost complete…and, since I already have Friday off, I should be able to finish without it being a mad scramble tomorrow! Such a nice surprise…and so different from how I thought my week would go. 😀

  15. It’s back to school time and our Open House was this evening. My favorite thing was meeting new students and seeing “old” students. I love teaching!

  16. Favorite thing so far today? Explaining a complicated subject today I did see that spark in the eyes of some of my students showing they were starting to “get” it! That, and they laughed at my silly jokes 😉

  17. Today was the first day of school for my kids in high school and middle school, and the third day for the one in college. My favorite part of the day was hearing about each of the kids’ days!

  18. My favorite part of today was getting home after a long visit to the physical therapist. It was hot and miserable outside, and it felt fabulous to walk into my air-conditioning and be able to just chill!

I love the project plan idea. Look forward to checking it out.

  19. My favorite thing about today is that my work day has ended and I’m home knitting — working on a beautiful pink baby blanket for a granddaughter due in October.

  20. My favorite part of today was dinner tonight with my husband! We tried a new to us small Italian restaurant and loved it.

  21. My favorite part of today was getting to play with fabric half of the day, creating a challenge quilt for next year’s quilt show. Recuperating from surgery a week ago gives me time to just DO. DO what I want, when I want. Won’t last for long, though.

  22. Had a difficult day at work. Coming home having hot black tea with cream and working on Hitofude was what I needed to relax.

  23. My favorite thing is when I came home from an icky day at work, having worked even later than usual, my little 6 yr old neighbor came running to me as soon as I got out of the car to tell me why she and her sibs were running around in their bathing suits when it’s actually a little chilly tonight. They are throwing buckets of ice water on each other “It’s so so much fun!”

  24. Several fun things happened today!!! The landscaping company came back and finished planting, placing rocks and mulching my front yard…it looks great! Next, I had company for dinner and finally I got to dog sit the poodle who lives next door. Ollie (the poodle) and Lily (my mini schnauzer) had a great time. Maybe I will have a few minutes to knit……..

  25. I found my self striping yarn to have ready for my next project. Remembering where all your stash is can be difficult at times.

  26. I got to sleep in and there wasn’t rain today. The weather cooled down some as well (though it is supposed to be hot and humid later this week).

  27. My favorite thing about today is that I got to make 2 batches of cookies to take to my nephew at college! And now I am knitting!
