Monday Yarn Update: Hand Maiden and Madelinetosh Tails!

Happy Monday to you! Although we are not at Loopy today (home celebrating Memorial Day and all of those who have served for our freedoms), we do have a Monday Update for you. We missed a couple of Mondays earlier in the month due to Camp, and we have things stacking up in the back room, waiting for you! So, just up, you’ll find:

Hand Maiden Sea Silk -this fingering weight 3-ply yarn is dyed in Nova Scotia, Canada and is luscious. 70% Silk and 30% Seacell, with 436 yards in the skein. Beautiful drape and sheen, makes this perfect or shawls, scarves, and other lace projects. Pattern ideas: Montego Bay Scarf, Storm Water Shawl, Strangling Vine Lace Scarf, and Tesla. Shown here in Sangria and Hemlock.

Madlinetosh Unicorn Tails – these 52 yard mini skeins are great for color work and small projects. They come in 30 different colors on Tosh’s Merino Light base, or you can buy “The Whole Stable” as a set and save a little money. These tails are about half the size of our 100+ yard Loopy Cakes Mini skeins, so if you like more yardage to your minis, check out the Loopy Cake Sets. There are also great mini skein pattern ideas on the Loopy Cakes thread in our group on Ravelry. Many will work for both the Loopy Cake skeins and the Madelinetosh skeins. Shown below in “The Whole Stable”.

Knitifacts – our favorite stitch markers have been re-stocked! We have 17 different color sets to choose from. They slide easily, show up clearly, and have no sharp edges that snag your knitting as you work along. Shown below in Big Top and Seafoam.

Addi Turbo Sock Rockets – more sizes in the 16″, 24″, 32″ and 40″ circular lengths. These are frequently on backorder due to popular demand, so just know that we will continue to fill in the different sizes as we are able to get them.

Addi Click Needle System – Lace Long tips. Each time we special order these sets for people, we order a couple of extra sets to put up on the website. This set comes with the longer tips (just over 5″ in length) and feature the same sharp tip as the regular lace needles. Included in the set, US tip sizes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, and three blue Addi-Lifeline cords (24″, 32″, and 40″), packaged in a pretty pink case.

Della Q Needle Cases – We have them in the Interchangeables, the Circulars, and the DPN organizer cases.

Knitter’s Pride – Karbonz 6″ DPN sets. This set comes with five needles each in sizes 0-3, making it a great set for sock knitters. The light bodied carbon fiber and nickel plated brass combine for great strength but lots of flexibility. Packed in a black and grey fabric case with see-through vinyl.

Siesta Silver Jewelry – This is something we picked up at Quilt Market, because I loved it and wanted one for my own. (Then I always assume you all might like one, too!) These sterling silver charms come with quilt designs (Churn Dash, Friendship Star, North Star and Basket), as well as a Knitting Love heart design (check out the knitted design inside the heart – a perfect way to share your love of knitting!). We have them in Large, Small, and Mini sizes, as well as Charm Holders (which hold the mini charms, and you can put the spacer beads in between). The Knitting Love doesn’t come in the large size, but we did buy this one in earrings as well, which are fun. We assume most of you probably have a favoite silver chain you can wear these charms on, but just in case you don’t, we did order a few Espiga chains as well. (These chains don’t kink. We like that.)

We also re-stocked all of the Cascade 220 and 220 Superwash this past week (except a few colors which were backordered.)

Have fun checking out all of the new things today, and we’ll look forward to pulling and packing your orders tomorrow, and sending them on their way to your home!

  1. Couldn’t find the Siesta Silver Jewelry on the site from the homepage unless I searched specifically for it. Seems it isn’t linked up the main pages. Very pretty
