We have had a busy month of May, and we’ve missed our regular Monday Yarn Updates! Now that all of the first project Camp Loopy yarn orders are well on their way, we can get back to our regular update schedule. And boy do we have awesome things for you in today’s Update. Just up, you’ll find:
Blue Moon Fiber Arts – Marine Silk Lace. Soft and luxurious, this yarn has a beautiful drape and shoft sheen. 51% Silk, 29% Merino Wool and 20% Seacell with 868 yards in the skein. Need some pretty pattern ideas? Check out: Echo Flower Shawl, Morticia, Tiong Bahru, Citron Grand, Sheherazade Beaded Lace Shawl, Whisper Cardigan, and Muji Painting. Shown below in Enchanted Forest and Blue Moonstone.
Blue Moon Fiber Arts – Worthy Fingering. Oh my word, this is amazing. Expensive (so we didn’t get very much, and it won’t be for everyone), but exquisite. I really think you will almost be able to imagine how it feels, just by clicking on the photos we are putting up. You can almost see the softness! Made with 65% White Cashmere and 35% Bombyx Silk, with 437 yards in the skein. You will want to make something for yourself with this yarn. Or something for someone very very special. (Although, good luck giving it up once it’s in your hands.) 🙂 Pattern Ideas: Ishbel, Frisson, Cloud Illusions, Foolproof, Kernel, Blue Whale, Five by Five Cowl, and A Time to Reap. Shown here in Turquoise and Vancouver Violet.
The Verdant Gryphon – Bugga. A new batch of Bugga for you! This sport weight yarn is 70% Superwash Merino, 20% Mongolian Cashmere and 10% Nylon, with 412 yards in the skein. It makes beautiful socks, as well as pretty shawls, scarves, gloves, hats and lighter weight sweaters. Pattern Ideas: Marin, Pasando, Audrey in Unst, Charleston Tea, Pendulum, and Wurm. Shown below in Marrakesh and Forester Moth.
The Loopy Ewe Celebrations color for May – Jack is Back! For those of you who are spending the next several Monday nights celebrating the return of Jack Bauer and 24, this one is for you! We wanted a very manly color, and Veronica at Dream in Color came up with a beautiful one. Even if you’re not a 24/Jack Bauer fan, this is the perfect guy color. I worked on a hat out of this at Knit Night, and everyone who saw it, loved the colorway. It’s great for hats, socks, scarves, and gloves. Loopy Elf Lynn wants hers to be knit into a sweater. We had it dyed up on the Smooshy with Cashmere base. I knit this up using the Sockhead Hat pattern. It would also be great for: Herbivore, Mr. Pitt’s Socks, Syncopation Socks, Ribbed Watch Cap and Beanie, Gentleman Socks, Celtic Secret, and Railyard Scarf.
Knitter’s Pride Needles – re-stocked in Circulars, DPN’s, and Interchangeables.
Knitting Pure and Simple Patterns – great basics which are attractive and simple, as their title suggests!
Ammee’s Babies Totes – we have these project bags re-stocked in the regular (medium) size, and now in the large size as well.
Have fun shopping the Monday Update and we’ll get your orders packed up and shipped right out!
