Happy Monday to you! We woke to gray skies and a bit of snow here, but nothing that stuck. Now the sun is shining and I’m ready to go play in the colors here at the shop. Yarn colors, fabric colors, and thread colors. I hope you have some pretty spring colors that are inspiring your creativity at home, too! If not, then pop on over to the website and get some inspiration. Just up, we added in:
Madelinetosh DK – so many colors, and of course we have all of their new colors, too. (Looks like we still have a good stock on all of the new colors from our Madtosh Vintage batch that went up last week as well.) In addition to all of the re-stocks in regular popular colors, be sure to check out: Black Walnut, Capetown Rainbow, Chicory, Ember, Farmhouse White, Hosta Blue, Log Cabin Brown, Medieval, Purple Basil, Red Phoenix, and Sun Rose. This DK weight is particularly nice for sweaters, medium weight shawls, scarves, cowls and hats. Pattern ideas: Kynance Cove, Looking Back, Primavera Tunic, Alex’s Blanket, Something in the Air, Afreet, and Adrian. Shown below in Red Phoenix, Chicory and Log Cabin Brown. Remember, you can always click on the photos in the blog to make them bigger (and on the photos on the website to see them full-sized)!
Kauni – we’ve re-stocked the solids and multi-colors and have plenty of different options for you. The multi-color skeins come in at different weights, so you can pick just the size skein that you need. They range from approx. 120 grams (about 525 yards) to approx. 180 grams (about 787 yards.) Pattern ideas: Citron (and here’s the one I did in the EPA colorway), Zuzu’s Petals, Oakland Shawl, Northern Lights, Lightwaves, Stars Flowers and Children (wow!), and Boomslang. Multi-colors shown here in EU,ESA, and EQ. Solids shown here in DD, JJ2, and RR7.
Moda Fabric’s Mirabelle Collection – fabrics in subtle peaches, sunny yellows, and soft artichokes. The whole collection reminds me of a summer napping spot. Sweet, soft, and cozy! Maybe you need to turn some of this into a throw quilt. We have it in 14 different fabric options and a Loopy Short Stack. A sample shown below.
Moda Fabric’s Chance of Flowers Collection – fabrics in limes, teals, peaches, ivories and roses. Actually, quite a few of these would mix very well with the Mirabelle Collection, too. And what about some new spring and summer project bags out of this material? I linked to three different (easy!) versions in last week’s blog contest post. Seems like a good idea to have different project bags for different seasons, doesn’t it? (Or wait – is that just the way I’m talking myself into “needing” different seasonal fabrics? Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) We have this line in 14 different fabrics and a Loopy Short Stack. A sample shown below.
Off to play in the colors. You, too?
