Camp Loopy Project Two Winners

Sandra's Freya ShawlWe’re having fun seeing all of your finished projects for Camp Loopy this month! We did tally up all of your votes for Project Two, and have some winners to announce! The winner of the Reader’s Choice award goes to Sandra from Oregon for her gorgeous Freya Shawl, done in Madelinetosh’s Prairie in the Alizarin colorway. You win a $30 credit at The Loopy Ewe! (That shawl looks like it required a whole lot of chart reading. It looks so beautiful all blocked out like that.)

We also do a random drawing from all of the entries so that everyone has a chance to win. We picked four winners from that, and each wins a $25 credit at The Loopy Ewe. Those winners are:

Celeste from Australia for her Clapotis shawl made with 2 skeins of Madelinetosh Pashmina in Esoteric.

Celeste's Clapotis

Linda from North Carolina for her Gemini sweater, made with 7 skeins of Amy Butler DK in Cinnamon.

Linda's Gemini Sweater

Renee from West Virginia with her Northern Lights shawl, made with 1 skein of Kauni in EK.

Renee's Northern Lights

and Sandra from Massachusetts with her Daybreak shawl, made with Malabrigo Rastita in Indiecita and Mostaza.

Now – we are ready for you to take a look at all of the beautiful projects from Camp Loopy’s Project Three and vote on your favorites! Send your pick to: support@theloopyewe.com and we’ll tally the votes and get back to you with more winners.

For those of you who completed all three projects (per the directions) and earned the free yarn – it’s almost ready. We will be back to you in about two weeks with links to pick your prize.  In the meantime – have a great weekend and I hope you get time to knit!

  1. I sure am! It’s still in the 90s here!

Congrats to everyone! I’m still working on Camp Loopy 1. 22 rows to go….

  2. It is cooling off here in western NY. Thanks be! I wore sweaters this week!

When will the addis come in, do you know? I missed out on the Sock Rockets…thanks.

  3. Those are all gorgeous projects. Congrats to everybody. I should check and see if my project made it in for the last gallery. I squeaked in just under the deadline!

  4. I am very honored to have my shawl chosen for the Reader’s Choice award. A big Thank You goes to Ravelry Mickieswall for sharing her written instructions for making the shawl in a half circle. Also to Ravelry Misseknits for the inspiration on yarn color and beads. Last but not least to Meeli Vent. I started my Freya shawl with the start of her Monica’s shawl. Thank you to every one. Sandra

  5. I wore my sweater today, in spite of the fact that it’s not “really” sweater weather yet. Just couldn’t wait! Thanks for the fun challenges and congrats to the winners!

  6. Hi Sheri,

Thank you for organizing Camp Loopy – this was the first time I participated in a knitting contest and I had a lot of fun and knitted a lot more than I ever though possible!

Just wondering if you sent out the link to the free yarn yet? I completed all 3 projects but never received an email notification for the free yarn.

    Thanks!
    Julie
