Spring Knitting with JulieSpins

Happy April Monday! I hope you had a nice Easter weekend and are ready for some beautiful spring knitting. We have just the thing.

JulieSpins Euro Fingering 820

These oversized Euro Fingering 820 skeins are great for larger shawls and sweaters (less color matching between skeins). This is the last batch that Julie is able to get on the Euro 820 base. We are looking into some 600 yard options as possibilities in the future. But if you like the 800+ yard skeins, now is the time to get them!

Pattern ideas: V-Neck BoxyCloudsley (Rav), Woolshia Shawl (Rav), Summer Sorrel (Rav)

Malabrigo Rios

A bit more Malabrigo has arrived. You know we order every time we get notification that a shipment is on the way into the port! It has been a bit of a challenge for them to get everything they need during Covid, but they are on it as much as they can be, and we’re on it right behind them!

Patterns: Worsted BoxyXiomara (Rav), Seven Sisters Top (Rav), Rosa (Rav)

Malabrigo The Loopy Ewe

Dream in Color

We have our April Dream in Color Exclusive – Spring Swirl in City and Smooshy with Cashmere. And aren’t these gorgeous colors of spring?

We also have the Dream in Color April Pop Up Color.

Spring Swirl Spring Knitting The Loopy Ewe

Soak

The rest of the Soak has arrived, and some backordered Stonehedge Fiber Shepherd’s Wool, if you have been waiting on any of those colors.

Three Color Sets

We added more of our Three-Color Sets in last week, for those of you who are enjoying working on things like the Malabrigo Temperance Shawl KAL (on Rav),  Goldfish ShawlQuindiciAll Points South, etc. We love picking color duos and trios, and are always happy to help you with that if you need it!

Casapinka’s Bubble Tea Pattern Coming Soon

Of course we’ll have yarn sets for Casapinka’s Bubble Tea poncho the last weekend in April (in celebration of LYS Day, and also in celebration of Bubble Tea!). Watch for that, coming soon.

Loopy Live at Five on Mondays!

Did your hear that we’re doing Loopy Live at Five on Facebook on Mondays now? Join us for our FIRST one today (April 5th), or view the replay. We’ll be sharing Monday News each week (and I’m going to try to figure out how to add it to our Instagram, too. I think there is a way to do that.) Note – Live at Five is mountain time. That means it is 7:00 Eastern, 6:00 Central, 5:00 Mountain, and 4:00 Pacific.

Happy Knitting, Friends!

More Malabrigo (& Kits!)

Today we added in another batch of Malabrigo Sock, which I know you’ll love if you’re planning on doing the Malabrigo KAL with us, starting April 1st!

We’ve added more kits to the website, in addition to the skeins we put up. You can find them here:

Click for: Malabrigo KAL Kits

Not doing the Malabrigo KAL? Here are some other 3-color patterns that would be fun with these kits:

Goldfish Memory

Welcome Back Garter

Free Your Fade Shawl

3 Color Cashmere Cowl (on Ravelry)

3 Color Cashmere Shawl (on Ravelry)

We also re-stocked needlesSoak, and knitting notions, just so your yarn doesn’t have to travel alone. 🙂 I’m happy to say the Silvalume Handi Tools are back in stock, after we were told they were discontinued. These little tools are great for picking up stitchs. And the Super Snip Scissors are here again – perfect for traveling (which we WILL get to do again one day, right?).

Our last Monday Update included: Stonehedge Shepherd’s Wool Worsted and Crazy, and new indie dyer Brediculous Yarns.

Have fun shopping, and we’ll get your orders right out!

Quirky Year, Quirky Yarn

(This post, Quirky Year, Quirky Yarn), was originally written and published by The Loopy Ewe. © TheLoopyEwe, 2021)

Well, it has been a year now since we have been mindful of our activities and limited in our gatherings. In honor of what has been a really quirky year, we’ve name our March Exclusive from Dream in Color, Quirky!

It’s full of color and joy, to represent all of the things that we’ve missed, and all of the things that have been surprising blessings in this strange year. We hope you love it as much as we do! As usual, we have it dyed up on the Smooshy with Cashmere (fingering weight) base and the City (heavy worsted/light aran) base, and the City base dyes a bit darker, the Smooshy Cashmere a bit lighter.

Quirky – Smooshy with Cashmere
Quirky – City

If you’d like a copy of the Sarabell Cowl with a Dream in Color purchase, let us know in your order notes. We’re happy to send you that. It can be knit up in either the fingering weight or the City.

I used a skein of City Holidaze (our December Exclusive) to make these Gully Gloves (on Ravelry) and I love them!

Here are a couple of the other City Exclusives that would be good for Gully Gloves. I need to make a second pair. My first pair has ended up as a shop sample. (Story of my life….) 🙂

City Cranberry Cocktail (this is what my 2nd pair will be out of)
City The Nights Grow Longer

Our last Yarn Update included:

JulieSpins MCN 430

The Uncommon Thread Lush Worsted

The Uncommon Thread Merino DK

The Uncommon Thread Posh Fingering

Primitives by Kathy Daily and Market Totes

Thanks so much for shopping with us, for hanging with us during this past (strange) year, for supporting our small business, and for your kind notes, comments, and emails. You have helped us through and we so appreciate you all.

Sheri

P.S. Did you check out last week’s Designer Spotlight? We featured Meiju Knits. She is ofering 20% off her In Between Dreams Cardigan (on Ravelry) with our special code, but has so many other great patterns, too I have already started her Summa Stripes Shawl (on Rav) out of Sandnes Garn Smart for one of my Loopy Academy projects. It’s a fun one!
