It’s that time of year again, when we pair up with Sarah Schira of Imagined Landscapes on another amazing December Mystery Gnome Knit-Along! Pre-orders for The Loopy Ewe’s yarn, goodies & more are now open (August 13 – 31, 2024)! We here at The Loopy Ewe can’t wait to discover what adventures the Grimblewoods will deliver in this year’s gnome knit-along, Gnana’s Visit. We have felt so honored to partner with Imagined Landscapes these last few years. It honestly just gets better every year! Sarah provides fantastic clues for each step of the gnome-making, excellent video tutorials, fun extras, an amazingly imaginative gnome-story, and so much more. The Loopy Ewe (in collaboration with Little Squirrel Yarn this year!) provides excellent yarn, a surprise-filled Goodie Set and a commemorative gnome base to get you in the Gnome-ing spirit. The Loopy Ewe works closely with Imagined Lansdcapes to provide yarn sets that will work well for the knit-along. We spice things up with some fun extras to enhance your 2024 December Mystery Gnome-ing experience! We are proud to be the sole provider of a curated Gnome Goodie Set for this Mystery Gnome Knit-Along. We take this role seriously! Our aim is to have you squealing with delight when you open each surprise. Sarah will tell you when to open each of the 12 carefully selected packages during the knit-along. Starting today pre-orders for all the Gnome-y goodness are live. Simply search for “2024 Gnome” on our website, and you’ll find all the options. These are being sold as PRE-ORDERS and will ship around the second week of November.
Mystery Gnome Knit-Along Yarn Details:
This year, we collaborated with Little Squirrel Yarn to select 3 color set options for yarn to use for the 2024 December Mystery Gnome Knit-Along – Gnana’s House (Sarah designed this year’s gnome with this color set), Evergreen Sparkle, or Icicle Season. Sarah and Dylan worked hard to dye fun color options. Each set comes with 4-20g (87 yard) mini skeins. The yarn is 75% fine superwash merino, 25% recycled nylon and 100% yummy softness. This year’s yarn set will come with pair of gnome-sized glasses to adorn your gnome. Click here to order yarn! Mystery Gnome Knit-Along Goodie Set Details:
In addition to yarn sets, we are offering a delight-filled Goodie Set again this year to pair with the 2024 December Mystery Gnome Knit-Along. The Goodie Set contains 12 wrapped and numbered gifts for you! Included are a combination of notions, gnome-related items, and other fun things to treat yourself through this December’s gnome-ing. Many items will be gnome-themed. Some can become part of your gnome (or not – and none of them are required for the Mystery Gnome knit-along). The 12 items will come in a cute project bag. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GOODIE SET DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY YARN – YOU MUST PURCHASE THAT SEPARATELY. The goodie set comes only with the project bag and 12 fun gifts. Fun Extra – Gnome Base Details:
The past 2 years, we’ve included a wooden gnome base as the last goodie in the goodie set. There is no base in this year’s goodie set! We are instead offering the base as an extra for purchase! We’ve discovered that there are some of you out there who really want the base and not all the other extras. There are also those ambitious folks among you who knit more than one gnome, and want bases for them all! Additionally, we’ve got to keep you on your toes – you shouldn’t be able to guess that the last goodie is a gnome base! An order of the Gnome Base will include ONLY a 1.5″ wooden disc with this year’s gnome logo that can attach to your gnome bottom to stabilize it. Click here to order your Gnome Base. Ordering Details:
We are happy to have you order as many of each item as you like, but please check out with ONLY the 2024 Gnome yarn sets/goodie bags/gnome bases in your order. We can’t mix pre-orders with other items. If you need to purchase other, non-gnome-related items, please place a separate order! Let us know if you need help.
2024 Mystery Gnome items (yarn sets/goodie sets/gnome bases) will ship out by the end of the second week in November, with international shipping happening (hopefully) a bit earlier.
Pre-orders will be open through August 31, 2024 at midnight mountain time. Please order by then, as we get super sad when folks contact us after that asking if they can still get the goodie sets!
If you inadvertently order before you have all your items together, we can combine them, but please send us an email or leave an order note to let us know to look for that. With so many orders coming through during this time period, we can easily miss it otherwise.
Mystery Gnome Knit-Along Imagined Landscape Details:
Sarah Schira from Imagined Landscapes will be providing the Gnana’s Visit pattern for purchase separately starting November 1. This year comes with 21 days of emails filled with stories, recipes and the brilliant imagination and creativity that Sarah brings. The pattern will be available for purchase through the Imagined Landscapes site, with the first email/clue arriving on December 1st, and your gnome complete by December 21st.
