We are less than half way through June, but to ensure you get your mission plans in order and receive your project supplies on time, we’re already thinking of Loopy Spy Camp July! For those Special Yarn Agents deep in (or, *gasp* who have completed) June Missions, your debriefings and updates are critical to the overall mission of Loopy Spy Camp. Keep the intel flowing! If you haven’t started June, there is still time for a quick project, or we’d love to have you jump in for July’s mission! Camp Loopy Spy Camp is a virtual summer knit/crochet camp that provides monthly challenges, a community with which to to puzzle out each month’s mission and rewards for completing your missions through the summer.
July Camp Mission
For Loopy Spy Camp – July , your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to emulate your favorite spy/agent (fictional or real) and use them as inspiration for your July project. You can base your connection on a specific case they had, their personality, the agency they work for – be creative! Choose a project and/or yarn that relates in some way to your chosen spy-dol. This could be in yarn base or color name, pattern (or pattern designer) name, or, really, any way you can logically connect the project to your spy of choice! You can be as literally connective (e.g. use a pattern named MacGyver), or as creatively associated as you like. Ideas include (but are DEFINITELY not limited to):
- Are you a MacGyver fan? Pick a pattern and yarn (or combine 2) and add your own twist (duct tape not recommended). Use your big brain to rig something up and complete your mission!
- James Bond your spy-crush? Make something classic and suave, or use a yarn or pattern that resonates British Intelligence MI6.
- Mata Hari got you intrigued? Get exotic and/or put your skills to use for good!
- Do you love Ethan Hunt? Craft boldly forward and take a risk in pattern or yarn that you might not otherwise choose!
- Are you more of a Scooby Doo type? Grab some Scooby snacks and crack that case.
- There are so many options! Austin Powers, Pink Panther, Kim-Possible, Inspector Gadget, Spy Kids, and so much more! We’d love to be educated on more spy options!
July Spy Camp Week
We are offering a 15% discount on the yarn you are using for your Loopy Spy Camp – July project, when you purchase between June 11-18, 2024.
Please leave us an order note saying this is for Spy Camp and telling us which specific yarn will be used for your project. If there isn’t a note, then we won’t be able to apply the discount. If, in your excitement to get your order in, you miss the order notes, please email us at support@theloopyewe.com.
Also, please note that you are welcome to use Loopy credit OR the discount. We aren’t able to add both. If we see that you’ve used Loopy credit, we will not add a discount on top of that.
