Malabrigo Caracol – This brand new line from Malabrigo is a Super Bulky, and it is super fun to knit! Here is the Waltz Through the Forest Cowl that I knit up with the sample they sent me earlier this summer. I think it took me one night, so it makes for a great gift knit! Other pattern ideas: The Vermonter, Drop Stitch Cowl, Marian, Hannah, Caracol Cowl, and Hogsmeade Hat.
Malabrigo Rios – This 100% Superwash worsted weight yarn is wonderful for sweaters, shawls, warm cowls and hats, and easy-care kids clothes. Pattern ideas: Pedestrian Crossing Cowl, Brickless, Dustland Hat, and Dark and Stormy.
Madelinetosh Merino Light – New colors in Merino Light from Madelinetosh this week. All of them are “must haves”! Pattern Ideas: Henslowe, Cameo, Pendulum, and Starshower.
Madelinetosh DK – re-stocks and new colors in DK weight, just in time for fall and winter sweater knitting. (And you know we always always match your skeins well when you buy multiples!) Pattern Ideas: Spiral Cowl, Hinagiku Hat, Vodka Gimlet, and Shaelyn.
Canon Hand Dyes Gradients – I know you all have been waiting for this re-stock, since the first batch sold out so quickly. I am in the process of making a Hitchhiker out of one of my skeins of this beautiful gradient. And one thing that I’m really excited about with this order is that we had Amy dye up several colors for the different seasons! We love doing color analysis here at the shop (through House of Colour, because they are the best!) and plan to continue to label the seasons in our yarn lines, as we move forward. If you know your season, you will love being able to pick yarn for yourself that you know will look awesome on you! 🙂 Pattern Ideas: Gradient Striped Scarf, Gradient Linen Mitts, Starry Night Gradient Scarf, and Fashion Week Gradient Shawl.
Our last Yarn Update included: Into the Whirled Kettle Dyed DK, Fibernymph Dye Works BFL Roving, Kauni solids and multis, Needle Keepers and Lavishea Lotion Bars.
Our last Fabric Update included: Robert Kaufman’s Manchester collection, Cosmo Embroidery Floss, Mettler Silk Finish Cotton Thread, Kits, Patterns and Templates.
Have fun shopping through the new things, and we’ll get your orders right out! (And don’t forget to enter the Tenth Anniversary Contest and pick up your Tenth Anniversary Kit!)

Being the sucker that I am for “pretty” things, I bought a skein of the Caracol yarn in Anniverso (I think that was the name) and decided I would use the pattern you showed knit up. The pattern calls for a #13 16″ circular but when I got the needle, I’m afraid someone must have been smoking crack when that needle size was used. I did a couple of rows then flogged to try another pattern. Is that really the size needle you used, or is that just what the pattern designer used with a different yarn?
I am pretty sure I used an 11. I usually go down a size on most patterns.
