And we have another new indie dyer for you! We’re happy to debut Canon Hand Dyes at The Loopy Ewe, and we have started with their gorgeous William Merino Gradients.
Gradients are fun to use in shawls, scarves, hats and sweaters, where you can see the colors transition from one to another. (You may find yourself knitting more often or faster – if that is possible – to get to the next color!) Pattern ideas: Pipestone Cowl, Wingspan, Dangling Conversation, Myndie, Melodia, TGV, and Frisson.

  1. OK. I want all of the gradients, but what I really want is a fully gradient sweater. I don’t think I could do that with those skeins without a lot of alternate rows!

  2. Although it’s a cowl, so wouldn’t use as much of the skein as a shawl, the Crooked Ewe Cowl on Ravelry is designed specifically for gradients.

Those Canon Hand Dyes are gorgeous color combinations!
