We’re back from Rhinebeck and we discovered a few new things for you. 🙂 We’ll get those on order and will keep you posted. In the meantime, be sure to catch last Wednesday’s blog post with adorable sheep, alpaca and goat pictures (and some Norman Rockwell, too!). And then pop over and get in on all of the new things we put up today. You’ll find:
Mrs. Crosby Ombra della Sera – From time to time, Mrs. Crosby will be adding in a special limited edition yarn, with limited quantities available (and limits on how much each shop can order). We ordered the maximum amount allowed, but when it’s gone, it’s gone. This is a chain-plied worsted weight yarn that is 90% Cashmere and 10% nylon for added strength and stability. You’ll love it for cowls, scarves, hats and mitts. Shown below in Zaffiro and Wild Huckleberry.
Malabrigo Lace – Spun from the finest merino wool, this yarn comes from sheep bred for generations by ranchers in the northern part of Uruguay. These 470 yard skeins are 100% Pure Baby Merino Wool and knit up beautifully into scarves, shawls and wraps. Shown below in Cadmiun and Pagoda.
Malabrigo Finito – A soft, two ply wool spun from the finest merino in Uruguay and available in small quantities once a year. This fingering weight yarn comes with 200 yards to the skein and is 100% extra fine merino. Hand wash and lay flat to dry. Shown below in Paloma and Mares.
Malabrigo Mecha – Mecha means “single ply” in Uruguayan Spanish. This bulky weight yarn is 100% superwash merino and comes 130 yards to the skein. You’ll love it for quick-to-knit scarves, hats, mittens, and cowls. Shown below in Indiecita and Arco Iris.
Malabrigo Mechita – Dyed in small batches, this 100% superwash merino is fingering weight and is a single ply. With 420 yards to the skein, it’s great for shawls, cowls, and lightweight sweaters. Shown below in Diana and Lotus B.
Malabrigo Rastita – A Dk weight that is 100% merino wool (hand wash), this single ply yarn is beautifully dyed in rich, deep colors with subtle shadings. Shown below in Solis and Jupiter.
Malabrigo Baby Silkpaca Lace – This laceweight yarn is lusciously soft. It’s 70% Baby Alpaca and 30% Silk, and comes with 420 yards to the skein. Use it for lightweight (but warm) wraps and shawls, cowls, scarves and more. Shown below in Archangel and Fucsia.
Malabrigo Worsted – A soft, single-ply extra fine 100% merino, this worsted weight comes with 210 yards in the skein and is popular for sweaters, warm scarves and cowls, hats and mittens. It’s not a superwash, so you’ll want to hand wash and dry. Or use it for your felted projects! Shown below in Dusty and Vaa.
Malabrigo Nube Roving – A 4 oz braid of roving for spinning up into yarn or to use in needle felting. 100% Merino, hand-dyed in several of Malabrigo’s popular colorways. Shown below in Persia and Piedras.
Cascade 220 Superwash – A great worsted weight yarn that is 100% superwash wool, and machine wash and dry. Knitters especially love this for baby and kid clothes, blankets and afghans, and any knitwear that needs to be easy-care. We stock it in all of the colors (130+ at last count). Shown below in Seafoam Heather and Wasabi.
HiyaHiya Needles and Notions – re-stocked, as well as ChiaoGoo needles and plenty of other knitting notions for you!
Have fun shopping through the new things, and we’ll get your orders right out!
