I hope you had a great weekend and are almost through your Monday. Our favorite part of Mondays? The Loopy Yarn Update. It makes every Monday great around here. Beautiful new skeins of yarn flood the shelves and brighten everything up again for the week!
Today, it’s all about Wollmeise, which is dyed up by Claudia and her team in Germany. One thing we love about the Wollmeise skeins (besides the incredible colors) is that fact that all of the skeins come with such generous yardage. Watch the yardage numbers when purchasing for multiple-skein projects, as you’ll need fewer skeins than you would when using many other brands.

Wollmeise Lace – This heavy lace weight base is 100% Superwash Merino with 300 grams and 1722 yards in the skein. (That’s almost a mile of yarn. Be still my heart.) Wollmeise Pure – This fingering weight base is 100% Superwash Merino with 150 grams and 574 yards to the skein. Pattern Ideas: Boxy, Hitofude, Hitchhiker, Match and Move, Ley Lines, Strandwanderer, Pamuya, and Morlynn Shawl. Shown below in Thriller and Martha.
Wollmeise Twin – This fingering weight base is 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Nylon with 150 grams and 510 yards to the skein. Pattern Ideas: Hypernova The Scarf, Lintilla, Elfe, Brickless, Bobbie, La Digitessa, Flare, and Herbivore. Shown below in Yotta and Skandal um Rosi.
Wollmeise Blend – This sport weight base is 70% Superwash Merino, 20% Cashmere and 10% Polyamid with 150 grams and 546 yards to the skein. Pattern Ideas: Heaven and Space, Vitamin D, Thousand Tulips, Braidsmaid, Quiet Journey, Princess Fiona, Wanderling, and Drachenfels. Shown below in Tutu and Elsa.
Wollmeise DK – This DK weight yarn is 100% Superwash Merino and comes 200 grams and 468 yards to the skein. (I am using this for my Funky Grandpa Sweater and I love the way this knits up.) Pattern Ideas: Ruvene, Naiada, Golden Autumn, Matchmaker, Water and Stone, Adventurous, Velvet Stole, and Velvet Scarf. Shown below in Teddy and Amethyst.
