Madelinetosh, Ancient Arts, Blue Q and More!

The Monday Yarn Update is ready for you! Today we added in:

Ancient Arts Yarn – Oh, this is fun yarn. We have the Meow Collection and the Woof Collection dyed up on a gorgeous heavy fingering weight base that is 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Nylon. Each of the Woof and Meow colorways are inspired by a different breed of cat or dog, and Ancient Arts donates a portion of the proceeds to charities that benefit stray and abandoned cats and dogs. We also added in many of their regular, beautiful colors as well. Shown below in Siamese Cat and Maine Coon, Golden Retriever and Australian Shepherd, and Water Lily and Fog Warning.

Madelinetosh Merino Light – With over 100 colors in stock, it’s a great time to pick your next sweater’s worth (or yarn for your next shawl). Merino Light is a single ply fingering weight that is 100% Superwash Merino with 420 yards to the skein. This is one of my favorite yarns to use for shawls and scarves, because I love the way the stitches show up. Shown below in Daffodil and Baltic.

Madelinetosh Unicorn Tails – Another full re-stock of the Unicorn Tails. These are mini skeins of Merino Light that Madelinetosh offers in 30 colors. Each skein has 52 yards. Buy a few of your favorites or buy The Whole Stable and get all 30 colors! Shown below in Jade and The Whole Stable.

Blue Q Bags – re-stocks and some new designs from Blue Q. These are handy for keeping your accessories together in a project bag (the Small Pouches), or for carrying needles (the Large Pouches), or for organizing multiple projects inside a large bag (the XL Pouches), or for individual projects (the Handy Totes, the Shoulder Totes, the Messenger Bags and the Shopping Bags). Of course they’re also fun to give as gifts, as each seems to come with its own sense of humor!

Appalachian Baby Kits – We’ve re-stocked the yarn and kits that we put up a few weeks ago, as well as adding in a few new kits that just came out, and the new pink and blue yarn by the ball. This sport weight yarn is 100% Organic Cotton and comes caked into easy-to-use 3 oz. balls. Each kit comes with the pattern and the yarn to make it. (Even though we show the finished product in many of the photos, it doesn’t come finished like that. You do have to make it! If you’re local to us, do come in and see the beautiful shop samples in person.) Classic designs that are destined to become a family heirloom.
