Monday Yarn Update: Jilly with Cashmere, Zauberball, Malabrigo and More!

Happy Monday to you! We have lots of beautiful things just up in today’s Monday Yarn Update. We added in:

Dream in Color Jilly with Cashmere – Dream in Color bought 200 skeins of this Jilly with Cashmere base to test it out and offered them to us. (Jilly? With Cashmere? Of course we couldn’t say yes fast enough!) So it’s a limited edition at the moment, and we’ll see if they decide to add it in to their line at a later date. I had fun knitting up a skein into the That Nice Stitch Cowl. Shown here in Hot Pants and Slippery Trail.

Schoppel Wolle’s Zauberball Sock and Crazy Socks – Re-stocks in both bases, the regular sock is 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon in a single ply, and the Crazy is the same base but with a twist in the ply. Both are fun for socks, mitts, hats and more and you’ll like the pretty color changes. Shown here in Cafe Flair (Sock) and Rich Jewels (Crazy Socks).

Schoppel Wolle’s Zauberball Starke 6 – This is the sport weight version, with a 75/25 base and 437 yards to the ball. Nice for thicker socks, kids sweaters, hats and scarves. Shown here in Charisma and Spring is Here.

Schoppel Wolle’s Zauberball 100 – Some knitters like 100% superwash merino for their shawls and wraps (instead of the addition of nylon), so Zauberball 100 brings that to the table. This fingering weight yarn somes 437 yards to the ball. Shown here in 2229 and 1699.

Schoppel Wolle’s Zauberball Lace – A nice little single-ply ball that is 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon, with 875 yards to the ball. You’ll have fun making pretty shawls and wraps with this one. Shown here in Tropical Fish and Your Blue Eyes.

Schoppel Wolle’s Zauberball Gradient – It’s not just about the lighter weight yarns. The Gradient is the Worsted Weight version, and is 100% merino wool. It’s fun to knit up into cold weather items, and you can also felt with this one, so it makes fun bags, slippers and felted mittens. Shown here in 1873 and 1508.

Malabrigo Rasta – We’ve been waiting for a Rasta re-stock for awhile now. So glad to have it back! This Super Bulky weight yarn is 100% Wool and makes the warmest cowls, hats, mittens and scarves. Stock up while it’s available! Shown here in Whales Road and Garden Gate.

Malabrigo Mechita – A new base from Malabrigo. This fingering weight yarn is single-ply and is 100% superwash merino. Try it for shawls, fine sweaters, scarves and wraps. Shown here in Cielo y Tierra and Diana.

The Fibre Company Tundra – A bulky yarn that is just luscious. The base is 60% baby alpaca, 30% merino wool and 10% silk. (See why it feels so nice?) Fun for warm hats, scarves, cowls, shawls and sweaters. Shown here in Silver Wolf and Boreal.

Trekking XXL – This used to be THE sock yarn of choice – and it’s still a great option! A fingering weight yarn that is 75% Superwash Merino and 25% Nylon, it’s the yarn that you want to use for friends who will toss their handknit socks into the washer and dryer. Trekking can take it. The Loopy Ewe – We’ve re-stocked our Loopy Cakes in Lucky (great for St. Patrick’s Day) 50’s Sock Hop, Rainbow, and Cheers. We’ve also added in our “Made By” cards, which some of you received in last year’s Loopy Rewards program and asked when you could buy more. (Now!)
