Malabrigo Rasta – 100% Wool in a Super Bulky weight, with 90 yards to the skein. Great for thick, warm scarves, hats, cowls and mittens. Here’s a fun, free cowl pattern, and I have made lots of pairs of these mittens out of a skein of Rasta. Cozy warm, which you will appreciate again, come Winter! Maybe make a set of the cowl and mitts and tuck them away for a Christmas or birthday gift. More ideas: Ovate, An Unoriginal Hat, Howling Winds Cowl, Rasta Basket, or Super Bulky Socks. Shown below in Zarzamora and Sunset.

Manos del Uruguay Fino – a new addition to our lineup, this Fingering weight yarn is 70% extra fine merino (soft!) and 30% silk (luscious). Beautiful for shawls, as the silk gives it a little bit of extra sheen. Wondering what to make? How about: Fino Circle Scarf, Geology Shawl, Martine Hat, Churros, Cleome Shawl, and Ashburn. Shown below in Amethyst Earring and Garnet Brooch.

Hand Maiden Mini Maiden – a Fingering weight yarn in 50% Silk and 50% Wool, with great yardage (545 yards in the skein). Great for shawls, scarves and cowls. Especially nice for gift knitting, as it’s soft to the touch and beautiful when knit up. That is, if you can part with it. Pattern ideas: Kernel,  Waves in the Square Shawl, Henslowe, Brandywine Shawl, and Window to My Soul Sweater. Shown below in Mint and Aurora.
