It’s time to celebrate Tax Day, right? It’s always good to get those tax forms sent off, done with it for another year. If you’re ready to reward yourself with a luscious yarn gift, we have some pretty colors just up on the website today. We added in:
Kauni Wool 8/2 Effektgarn – re-stocks in EQ’s and EC’s. These extra quantities were backordered from our last order. We should be well stocked in Kauni now. And the EQ is the always-popular rainbow colorway that so many of you like. This is a sportweight yarn that has long color repeats. Our photos show you three different views of the same colorway, so you can tell what range of color comes in that particular colorway. We sell the skeins by weight, so you can get between 525 and 787 yards in the ball. (The price is different for each weight.) Pattern ideas: Kauni Rainbow Cardigan, Wingspan, Wiggle Wrap, Clapotis, and Stripe Study Shawl (using the Kauni multi-color for the main part, and a solid for the stripes and bottom.)
The Loopy Ewe Loopy Legends – one more Loopy Legend – Diane’s Bulldog Birthday, which turned out so cute. We do have one last one still in the dyepots and will let you know as soon as that one (Jaci’s color) arrives.
Manos del Uruguay – Serena is a sportweight that is 60% Baby Alpaca and 40% Pima Cotton. It is incredibly soft and luscious, and comes 170 yards to the skein. This has been a popular choice for sweaters, scarves and shawls, but you’ll also find it warm and wearable for hats, cowls and mittens. Shown below in Thunder. Pattern ideas: Dahlia Cardigan, Chiton Pullover, Serena Shadow Shawl, Seaglass Shell, and Vitamin D.
Hand Maiden Casbah Sock – Casbah is a fingering weight yarn that comes with 354 yards in the skein and is great for socks and shawls. It has 81% Merino Wool, 9% Cashmere, and 10% nylon. This was one of our first Merino/Cashmere/Nylon blends, and has continued to be a popular choice! Shown below in Seastorm. Pattern ideas: Milkweed Shawl, Lace Ribbon Scarf, Lacy Baktus, Springtime Bandit, Leyburn Socks, Ishbel Beret, and Pogona.
The Loopy Ewe Loopy Cakes – in Cheers and Colors of the Year (past Pantone colors of the year – what a vibrant set of colors!). We are having fun using these for cowl, hat, scarf and mitt patterns. Shown below in Colors of the Year.
We’ve added in skein quantities to the yarn pages (and yardage quantities to the fabric pages), so you can see right at a glance how many skeins of each color we have in stock. It was always info that was available if you changed your view from Grid to List, but this makes the information available in either format. This way, if you need 4 of something for a sweater, you can easily see which colors have enough in stock for you.
Have fun picking out some new yarn, and we’ll get your orders shipped right out!
