Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you! Did you see Leprechaun Loopy on the Webcam today? Here he is, peering out at you. (And there’s Jody, wrapping up one of your orders.) Did you wear green today? I forgot. I think that means I get to buy green yarn today to make up for it. I could unwind it and loop it around my neck for an impromptu green cowl. That’s acceptable, right? The Fibre Company Canopy Fingering – a fingering weight 3-ply yarn that is 50% Baby Alpaca, 30% Merino Wool and 20% Bamboo. Soft, with a gorgeous sheen and drape. Each skein is 200 yards and knits up beautifully for shawls, scarfs, mitts and cowls. Pattern ideas: Knitwitch, Better Together, Kleio, Taliesin (wow!), Roxborough Dolman, Pendulum, and Eragon. (Thus, great for mitts, gloves and mittens!) 65% Baby Alpaca, 10% Camel, 10% Cashmere and 15% Silk. Can you imagine how soft it is? And how warm? Nice on your head, around your neck, or draped around your shoulders. Pattern ideas: Relax, Stratigraphy, Winter Sparkles Shawl, Breckon, Treads, a Tipless Gloves Pattern, and Pomme de pin Cardigan. The Fibre Company Tundra – a bulky weight 2-ply that is 60% Baby Alpaca, 30% Merino Wool and 10% Silk. You can use this for warm sweaters, hats, cowls and scarves. You might never be cold again!
