The Loopy Ewe Celebrates Seven Years! (And a CONTEST)

It’s our anniversary! Thank you so much for seven great years of yarn, fiber, and general Loopy-ness! We appreciate all the times you have ordered from us, blogged about us, shared our site with your friends, and enabled us to continue to grow and expand. We always feel honored when you tell us that you consider The Loopy Ewe your LYS (local yarn shop), even when you may live hundreds of miles away. We feel the same way about you. We consider you part of the Loopy Family no matter where you are, and we’re always thankful to have you here.

kit_augWe want to celebrate our anniversary in a couple of different ways today. First – we have a very fun Seventh Anniversary Kit that we designed just for this occasion. We worked with Malabrigo to create a special colorway on their sock yarn base. The color is a deep blue, but also has some hidden tones of green and purple. We love what they came up with!

We then had Debbie from Nutty Creations do an anniversary pattern for us. Debbie has done anniversary patterns for us all seven years we’ve been in business and done anniversary kits, so it’s an important Loopy tradition. This year she designed a fun shawl. We’ll email you the pattern after your order ships. If you don’t get it within 48 hours, let us know. Sometimes the emails bounce back to us.

To round out the kit, we had Lantern Moon take their very popular sheep tape measures and stitchmarkers, and “loopify” them. Because of course those sheep needed red socks, just like Loopy. They’re cuter that way. We have the kits up on the website and ready to ship for you. The Elves have been carefully packaging these up off-camera all week long! (Sneaky, keeping it off the Webcam.) You are also welcome to add other items to your cart along with the Anniversary Kit (in case you’re going for free shipping in the U.S.). We hope you enjoy this year’s kit!

bag_aug15The second way we are celebrating is by having a contest. Offhand Designs sent us this beautiful project bag and we’d like to ship it off to one of you. It measures 17″ long x 6″ wide and has a frame top so that you can open it up and knit right out of the bag and it stays open. The inside is beautifully lined, and you’ll find four pockets for your accessories. Perfect for your most current project. Who would like it? To be entered into the contest, just leave us a comment below. We’ll randomly draw one winner next week. (We will have another anniversary blog contest cooked up for you next week, too.)

Thank you again for making this such a fun place to be, every single day. We hope you enjoy being here (virtually or in person), too!
