Two Down, One to Go

LintillaI finished up my Lintilla this week, for Camp Loopy’s Project Two. I used 1.25 skeins of Juliespins Silky Merino, because one skein was just 435 yards and I needed to hit 500 yards for Project Two. I like how it turned out. The second photo shows the more true color. I don’t remember the colorway, but since Julie invents new colors for almost every batch we get from her, it’s probably not one that is coming back anyway! You can see how the piece is knit sideways, with the ruffles being done in short-row sections. I think it’s a great pattern for multi-Lintilla2colored yarn. Mine ended up being more subtle, but I have seen some really pretty Lintillas done up in some wild colors, and they all look great. Martina has several patterns that are great for multi-colors, as she really likes designing with Wollmeise. Next up for me will be her Trillian pattern (after my Project Three knitting in August, of course). And I’m still working on my never-ending Nuvem, which I will love when it’s done. I even have a second color and beads picked out to make another one of those.

Now that all of the photos have been approved for the Project One Gallery, it’s time to vote on your favorites. Please pop over to the gallery and send us an email (support@theloopyewe.com), voting for your favorite project. We’ll tally those up and will announce a Reader’s Choice Award next week, as well as some randomly drawn winners from all of our entries. It has been so fun to see all of your wonderful creations, and we look forward to seeing more for Projects Two and Three!

  1. Why is it that I always choose a project that has me stressing by the end of the month? Should have picked out something a little easier! Anyone else knitting the Aeolian Shawl?

  2. Love the shawl. It is so neat to look at all the projects at once and see all the wonderful yarn in colors that I never thought to use and that look so good when finished. That is one thing that I like about knitting is getting the pattern and the colors to complement each other.

  3. My project is Lintilla also… such a fun knit. On the edge ruffle rushing to get it done for the Project Two! Yours is gorgeous! Always so fun to see the pattern worked up in so many yarns. That is what is so special about The Loopy Ewe… showing what people are creating! Thank you!
