Malabrigo Mecha, Blue Sky, Spud & Chloe, and More!

Here it is, a full week into April and we’re expecting 5 or more inches of snow tonight. I love it! We’ve had days of spring temperatures that have been lovely, but I do like the snow. This week will probably be the last week that we get it, so I’m enjoying it while I can. (But for all of your Spring Flingers who are coming here next week – bring something warm just in case!) We just put more pretty yarn up on the website for you. Don’t you love Mondays?  Tonight we added in:

Malabrigo Mecha – a brand new yarn base from Malabrigo! Mecha means single-ply in Uruguayan Spanish, and this Mecha is a bulky single-ply superwash merino. The superwash wool takes the color beautifully, and many of your favorite regular Malabrigo colors are available in this base, as well as a few new colors. You’ll love this yarn for hats, cowls, scarves, and fingerless gloves. We have it in 38 colors for you. (Shown above in Hojas). You might try it for: Iced, Roxy, Shawl Collared Cowl, Chickadee Cowl, Cranberry Sauce, or the Shawl Collar Vest.

Blue Sky Alpacas – we’ve also added a new yarn base. Their Worsted Cotton line is made of 100% certified organic cotton that creates a wonderfully soft yarn in a rich array of 34 colors. It would make a wonderful summer sweater or vest, as well as being great for kids clothes (although it is hand wash). And did I mention how soft it is?? (Shown here in Azul.) Need some pattern ideas? Try the Lotus Hat, Driftwood (which also reminds me of Shellseeker), Owl Hat for Kids, Tiramisu Baby Blanket, Small Things Sweater, or Que Sera.

Malabrigo Finito – re-stocks in a few more colors.

Spud and Chloe – we’ve re-stocked Sweater, Outer, and Fine in all colors.

Blue Sky Alpacas – we’ve re-stocked Skinny Cotton, Alpaca Silk, Worsted Hand Dyes, and Metalico.

Knitifacts Stitch Markers – more of those colorful ring markers that we all love. We have them in 13 different color palettes for you to choose from. They are sealed with seed beads, which means no open edges to catch your yarn. The rings fit needle sizes up to US 8 (5 mm) and come 20 to a pack (2 each of 10 colors). (Shown here in Seafoam.)

We will probably not have a Monday Update next week, since it’s Spring Fling Week here. But if some re-stocks arrive, we’ll get those up on the website during that time. If you follow us on Facebook, I’ll be sure to update there if we’re doing re-stocks.
