This week’s Sneak Up is going to include some new colors of Colinette Jitterbug, gorgeous new colors from Sabine of Sheepaints in Germany, new patterns from Shibui Knits, Claudia Hand Painted, and Gardiner Yarn Works, and 20 beautiful colors of Nyoni from Fleece Artist. This is the same yarn base as Fleece Artist’s popular Somoko, but without the Superwash feature. (65% wool, 20% kid mohair, 5% silk and 10% nylon.) We have it in 817 yd skeins which are perfect for shawls and stoles (or 2 pairs of socks!), but the best part is the price. Just $20 per skein on this special run. Watch for it later tonight or tomorrow.

starryDue to Spring Break next week, we won’t have an official Sneak Up for you. (My family is headed to the mountains in CO, which, as you know, is our favorite place to be. I anticipate lots of knitting time going on.) However, we will be updating re-stocks as they come in. We have quite a few things on order, both re-stocks and new. The week after next …. we may have that beautiful Dream in Color Starry back in stock. We’ll keep you posted on that. They’re dyeing up a storm and we ordered a bunch again! (Not familiar with Starry? Click on that photo to see why they named it that. It’s hard to capture it all in a photograph.)

Did you weigh in on your favorite mug/teacup in our March blog contest? We’ll randomly draw a winner for Wollmeise on Friday, so leave your comment by then. Also, for those of you who have asked, The Loopy Limelight WILL be back soon – I promise!

Finally, please keep Susan (Loopy Office Manager) in your thoughts and prayers again. She is undergoing her second surgery for breast cancer tomorrow. Knowing Susan, she’ll find a shamrock tattoo to wear into the operating room…

  1. Right now my favorite hot drink container is my Loopy travel mug which I have been using since they first came out, but now I sure do have my eye on a mug like yours…just gorgeous! Thoughts and prayers going out to Susan too! Have lots of fun in Colorado next week…I am jealous!

  2. Positive, healing thoughts for Susan. I hope all goes well with your surgery tomorrow. Have a great vacation next week Sheri. Your Colorado vacations always sound like fun.

  3. Good luck, Susan on round # 2. My prayers are with you. Sheri, have fun in Colorado next week. I’ll be thinking of you a couple of states away in Montana.

  4. Good luck, Susan! I’m sure we all will be sending our best thoughts with you tomorrow.

Sheri, you have a great trip to Colorado. What a terrific place to spend Spring Break!

  5. Susan has been on my mind so much these past few days. I should have written to her. I’m so sorry she is having another surgery, but I hope everything will go smoothly for her and that God will infuse her body with strength, blessings and restore her health fully.

Please give her a hug from me, Sheri.

I’ll be saying prayers for her. Please keep us posted. I care.

  6. I have had Susan on my prayers all this time. I am sure she is going to go through this with flying colors, we women always find our strength at the most difficult times. Please keep us posted on progress.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful spring break and you enjoy knitting and being with the children. I am glad that CG is not traveling this time.

  7. Best wishes to Susan…be strong.

And Sheri, give my regards to Colorado. Can’t wait to go there in August this year!

  8. Oh, my thoughts will be with Susan tomorrow.

Off to leave a mug comment; Bloglines keeps not updating your blog (in spite of repeated emails to suggest that they do so ASAP!), so I keep missing posts. Grrr….

  9. WOW – that’s quite an impressive New Loopy list! Congrats to all!

As always, Sheri, you keep us coming back for more with new fibers. Can’t wait.

Have a safe and fun trip in CO!

  10. Thoughts and prayers to Susan! You’ll come through with flying colors, I’m sure!

Have fun in Colorado, Sheri. I’m jealous. I get to spend spring break holding down the fort while my boss goes on business to FL. πŸ™

  11. Sending the luck of the Irish and lots of prayers to Susan. Enjoy your vacation Sheri. Sure wish I had a trip to CO planned. That’s a place I’ve always wanted to see.

  12. Thoughts and prayers are coming Susans’s way. Have a wonderful time in Colorado. My younger son is in Florida on Spring Break..Senior Year Spring Break! We are going on a trip too, but it is bittersweet, as we move my older son and his girlfriend to Northern Michigan. At 23 he cannot rent the truck, so we are helping. I will miss him (most of the time, lol) but I will be gaining a craft room, lucky me.

  13. Prayers and thoughts are with you Susan. I am wishing a speedy recovery and hope you find an outragous tattoo to wear tomorrow.

Sheri, have a great time in Colorado next week.

We are having great weather here today in Minnesota (it is in the low 60’s) and I am thinking of hanging some clothes out to dry and I even have windows open.

  14. My thoughts are with you, Susan. Sheri, have a ball in Colorado–also one of my fav places. More new colors of Jitterbug? I don’t know if my heart can stand it! You should see my Jitterbug stash! It’s actually rather obscene.

  15. My thoughts and prayers are with Susan. May you be blessed and come through this with flying colors. Hugs to Susan.

  16. Prayers coming for Susan!

And…WOO HOO WOO HOO WOO HOO!! on the Starry!! I’ve had Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket for three months awaiting it being back in stock…and I’ve got a shawl pattern with Starry’s name on it, LOL!!

  17. Many, many prayers for a simple surgery and smooth recovery for Susan.

The mug comment seems superfluous after that, but I have a mug in a tapered shape given me by my mom that is a beautiful aqua inside and white/gold and aqua outside with the words “I don’t remember signing up for this” inscribed. It helps on the days when homeschooling would be much more fun *without* the children….

  18. Prayers for a speedy recovery. Susan!
Also, I’m from the East and would love to maybe go with my family out west because we’ve never been. My 22 year old son would be tempted to come with us if it’s somewhere we’ve never been. Can any fellow groupies recommend good places to stay or where to go (cities) that would be fun in the summer.

  19. Prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery to Susan. Keep fighting and you will win! Remember your Loopy family is here for you. Hugs.

  20. Best to you, Susan! Good thoughts are coming your way.

My favorite mug is Longaberger, too. It’s a very nice size, holds a lot of coffee and is well-balanced.

Sheri – Have a great vacation!

  21. My favorite mug is a sentimental favorite more than a functionality one – it’s a plain old mug that we had a great picture of my horse Poker printed on. He’s up close facing the camera after he’s just had a bath and his head is all wet, his forelock is a mess, and his ears are kinda floppy – the perfect “I need coffee” face. πŸ™‚ It’s extra special to me because I lost him this past October after 18 mazing years, and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Thus, my favorite mug!

  22. Happy St. Patricks Day to everyone at Loopy, Its my dachsunds birthday, so they have a touch of the blarney about them! My girlfriend gave me these dogs as puppies, nine years ago when I got ovarian cancer (3rd stage), they are my lucky charms. Susan, I know what cancer is and I can tell you this is just a crook in your road, soon, very soon you will be back on the freeway going full speed ahead, just take it one day at a time and don’t worry about tomorrow because God is already there! I’m not especially religious but in times like these trust in that higher power, you are in my prayers every night and get yourself some lucky charms, you’ll be amazed what a puppy can do for healing

  23. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, Susan.

Have a great time in Colorado, Sheri! And congratulations to all the new Loopy Groupies! Welcome aboard!

Are those Crochet by Day patterns the ones you mentioned in a previous blog post? You weren’t kidding—they are adorable!

  24. My thoughts & prayers are with you, Susan! This time last year I was between my 1st and 2nd b/c surgeries; once I got over the let-down at needing a second surgery, the second was actually easier emotionally and physically, and an easier recovery. I’m sending you lots of Loopy love to help you get through this!

Sheri, I hope you & your family have a wonderful trip to Colorado! I’d love to be able to get away, too… Oh, wait, I will be – in a little over 5 weeks to the Fling! πŸ™‚

My current favorite mug is one that used to belong to my parents. They only used it for decoration, but I actually use it to drink from, and whenever I’m sipping my coffee from it, it almost feels like I’m having coffee with them. (We lost dad in January ’07, and mom last May.) The mug is handthrown pottery, one of those that’s wider at the base (harder to tip over!), narrower in the middle, and a little wider again at the top.

  25. Loopy Susan, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Be strong. I have thought of you often, wondering how you are doing. Hopefully, this will bring things totally under control for you. I’m pulling for you. Big hugs!!!

Sheri, I hope you and your family have a fun trip to Colorado. I love Colorado and its gorgeous mountains, in the summer. πŸ™‚

  26. Darn, I missed the Nyoni!! Will you get more? My favorite mug is a hand thrown one purchased at the Michigan Fiber Festival last August. It’s got two sheep and a drop spindle with red yarn on it. It makes me happy.

  27. I will keep Susan in my prayers.

Have a great trip to Colorado! I live here and it is a wonderful place to live. Lots of sunshine:-)

  28. We will be in Colorado skiing also! So, if you are in Beaver Creek and see a woman at the base on the Park Hyatt patio with a glass of wine and knitting….it is probably me!

  29. Susan…the mother of a friend of mine is going through her second surgery as well. my thoughts and prayers are with you. I’ll knit with you in mind.
