Do you wonder what The Loopy Elves do when no one is watching? Here’s some photo-evidence:
They ask “Who wants to go to California?” “Who wants to go to New York?” “Who wants to go to the UK?” whenever an order comes in for a Little Loopy. And then they wait and see which one raises their hand. (See photo.)
They wrap up the special edition yarn for the “Don’t Be Blue” sock kits (which will be offered in April to those who tried and didn’t get into the sock club.)
They eat bags and bags of M&M’s, plain and peanut. There are lids to these jars but I don’t know why. They’re really not necessary.
They play with the little toys that come in their Happy Meal and then leave them on the counter for others to find.
The make lots and lots of little red balls for Loopy’s Red Sock Kit. And then they make some more.
They toast their bagels in the red toaster that they requested for the Loopy Central kitchenette.
Oh, ok. They also unpack the cartons of yarn that come in each day, and get your orders out as well. Because despite all of their silliness, they really are good. 🙂
Sheri enjoyingourtimeinthemountainsandknittingalot!

Sounds like those elves are having WAY too much fun!!!!!
I really want a little loopy and those blue packages are “very interesting”!!!!!
And all those boxes! Must be like yarn heaven!!!!
Too cool about thedont be blue sock My Birthday is in April sounds like a great birthday gift to myself 🙂 and what is the red sock kit? Hmm sounds good too.
It sounds like the hardworking elves know how to play, too! And I’m waiting to hear the details about the don’t be blue sock package for all of us sock club wannabes. Hope you’re enjoying your vacation, Sheri!
The 3 New Jersey Little Loopys say “Hi!” to all the Loopys waiting to be adopted!
Have fun on your vacation!
I totally forgot to adopt a Little Loopy with my order today. How could I have forgotten?? Those elves were hard workers, though, FPS my order was posted in under 3 hours! Now if the USPS could kick it up a notch….
Enjoy the rest of your vacation!!
I’ll have to order a Little Loopy next time! The Elf job sounds awesome. I wish my job was that much fun!
Those elves must move quick — the camera didn’t catch a single one. I guess that’s how they get our orders shipped out so fast!
I love the row of Little Loopys just waiting to be adopted!!
And I can’t wait for it to be “Don’t Be Blue” time!!
Glad you are having a great trip.
Looks like the Elves have fun at work and that’s the way it should be in order for them to be efficient and having experienced their pulling/wrapping/packing/shipping magic over the last few months they deserve all the fun they can have. Thanks Elves for all your hard work and great service. Wishing you lots of M&Ms both plain and peanut…..
First of all, I’m still extremely proud to be a “little Loopy” owner….it’s one of my favorites and sits right on my bedside table 🙂
Secondly, I hope you’re having a wonderful vacation in Colorado…sounds like it’s been REAL cold, but that the fam is having a good time 🙂
Have a wonderful rest of your week and thank you for the comment about having lids on candy jars…what IS the point? 🙂
Do you elves actually get PAID to do all that fun stuff? I want your job! I recently left Colorado, and sorely miss living there. I hope you experience tons of joy on your vacation there.
Oh to be a Loopy Elf!!!!
Work is so much fun when you love what you’re doing AND you get to eat candy AND put your little elf fingers on yarn all day!!
Hope your’re enjoying your vacation. I miss mountains!!
Are there applications for Loopy Elfdom? Please include one in my next order! 🙂
Awe..I feel sad for all those waiting to be adopted Loopy! May be time to bring one home.
Oh gosh, those little homeless Loopys are so cute. I think I need one.
You have Kisses AND m&m’s??!!
I know those elves can’t be fooling around all of the time because they shipped out my order in record time!. Thanks, elves! I guess they know I can’t wait to get started on my DC KAL sweater.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the mountains and doing lots of knitting, Sheri.
I think it’s pretty awesome that you are offering the Don’t Be Blue sock kits for those who did not get in the sock club. The Loopy Ewe is the BEST!!! Hope you are having a wonderful time on vacation Sheri and I look forward to hearing about your adventures.
Hi and thanks for sharing – I wasn’t expecting a post so soon, but it was a nice little surprise! I can see the elves have lots of fun in addition to all the hard work they do. And, I’m just loving all the “red” stuff – but then red is my favorite color. So glad you are enjoying your time in the mountains… : )
Being a Loopy elf sounds like fun!
I take my little loopy with me everywhere – he keeps me company.
I really look forward to hearing more about the Don’t Be Blue sock kits – sounds like the perfect name 🙂
May I please apply for this job, Loopy. Previous experience: Keebler.
An Elf-cam. Love it! Loopy Central sure looks like a great place to work :^) Looking forward to Don’t Be Blue.
That is an amazing amount of yarn! Wow! I see why you needed a bigger space!!!
Wow, what a fun job – to be a Loopy Elf! That’s what I want to be when I grow up.
I LOVE that toaster!!
Cute!
I love it!
And yes, they do get the orders out! I think it must be the M&M’s that fuel that efficiency. Got my first post-Lent order yesterday and it made me VERY happy! Now, if only I could remember the pattern I saw that essentially required two hanks of sock yarn to make…. **digging through books and magazines** 😎
Did I mention? The Elves rock!!
Thanks for an update elves!! It gets kinda quiet when Sheri is on vacation and I’m so in the habit of checking this blog every week. Those are a LOT of boxes of yarn to unpack! I’m sure you NEED the happy meals and the M&Ms to keep your strength up (where’s the Loopy red, elf-providing espresso machine??)
I love this look into the lives of the Loopy Elves. 🙂
Yay elves! I think they are really amazing. 🙂 They really get those orders packed, and shelves stocked.
I think I just want to live in Loopy Central 🙂
Thank you Loopy Elves! Blue sock kit? What blue sock kit! That’s a nice surprise 🙂
I wish I had x-ray vision so I could see through the blue tissue!
Yes- I even clicked to enlarge- and could see… NOTHIN!
I rec’d my first order of Keegan Lane— it’s really fabulous!
Cant wait for the Dont Be Blue kit to be available!! And I should have my refund by then too!!!!!
I need to take Little Loopy on my adventures ands take pics of him, and then upload them for you!! I can’t wait for my Don’t be blue sock un-club kit!!!what fun you are and the elves too!! Do they eat a lot of Happy Meals?? He may be headed to LA for Memorial Day and then I COULD send him with DH to Arkansas for April…. then Sacramento ( my DH travels more than I do, how can I convince him to take pics??) hmmm… what can i bribe him with… hmmmm…socks maybe??
The Elves were also busy helping me with a color selection. They are now color experts. I was asking if DC Lunar Zazzle was very bright or would you call it a baby blue I was told “it is a pretty blue.’ Well after that I had to order it. Now my new favorite blue is pretty blue.
it looks like so much fun!!
So if I yell “Who wants to come to Massachusetts?” and a lil’Loopy raises his hand he’s MINE??? I want one. 🙂
Those elves are great!!!!
Now I am wishing I had bought some M&M’s today when I was out.
Glad to hear you are having a great time in the mountains.
So will you be accepting applications for Loopy Elf wannabes during Spring Fling? I’ll even bring the M&M’s (plain & peanut) with me! (Just 4 more weeks – woohoo!) Looking forward to S/Fling & to the Don’t Be Blue kit. TLE & the Loopy Elves are the greatest (and you, too, Sheri)! 🙂
What fun to be a Loopy Elf and get to play with yarn all day, eat M&M’s and toast bagles in a shiny red toaster! I would definitely look forward to going to work each day if I were an elf! I am looking forward to the coming weeks when we get to see all the goodies contained in all those boxes!! Glad to hear you guys are having a great vacation…it is well-deserved!
You Elves are having way too much fun! Where do I sign up?
And I totally agree about the candy jars—lids? Why?
You are all wonderful. Thank you for all your hard work and diligent efforts at pleasing all your customers every day! I am so glad you are there.
Oh my gosh…I want to be an ELF!!! I already have the M&M eating down perfectly!!!
Gotta love those elves!
Being a Loopy Elf sounds like a job I would enjoy very much! What a great place to work. If I were a Loopy Elf, I can hear it now … “Loopy Lou, you need to stop petting and admiring that yarn, and pack it up for the customer!” “Loopy Lou, stop shoping!!!!!!! You need to UNPACK that box of yarn before you can buy it!! Save some for the customers.” Hee-hee! So, I’d probably get fired.
The Loopy Elves photopics where a fun pick-me-up on a day that started with about two more inches of snow. (It’s spring…stop snowing!) Love the red toaster, love the red yarn balls, love the idea that lids on jars of m&ms is entirely optional. Love that the elves to such a great job and seem to have lot of fun doing it.
Thanks for the note with my order, Loopy Elves. You have a lot of fun but still work hard:)
Thank you Sheri for the Don’t Be Blue idea and for doing it….what a nice way to share and empathize with the ones wanted to be in the sock club.
It is nice of you to offer the “don’t be blue” sock kits to those of us who couldn’t get into the sock club. I wll try and be alert and get one when they go up. I am usually late and don’t get things.
Still job hunting and should not be sock yarn shopping.
